trying to find a backpack...

Does anybody know where I can buy a backpack? I just checked a few dozen vendors at Novia Market and nobody had one.

Greetings @Ffred, It is easy to make one. It is a level 1 recipe so go to a tailor bench with 3 leather and 1 leather strap and tailoring scissors and craft your own. Add me in game or let me know what your in game name is. I will help out anyway I can.

I haven't done much crafting but this sounds fairly straightforward. I checked with an NPC crafting merchant and couldn't find leather or leather strap. Can I buy these materials from NPCs or do I need to find them?

Also, I have something called "leather scrap"....is that the leather material you referred to?

You can make leather from Animal Hides, which you can get from killing various animals. I think you also need Curing Salt, which you can also buy from crafting NPC's for like 8gp(I believe.) Leather straps are made from leather itself.

How to I get to Elad's Lighthouse?

I see that it is in Sprindrift bay, and I walked along the coastline by Brittany looking for a boat to get there but couldn't find out.

 

There is a boat to the south east along the coast near paxlair or the boat at brit central.

 

I have Backpacks listed for sale in my vendors in Bladewyke (near Etceter) and Veritas Sanctuary (near Blood River), in case you're still looking...

 

Nothing, really. It might give a carry weight bonus? I don't remember.

 

Greetings @Maxstor, A backpack gives you 150 extra slots to store items. The more things you have to store stuff in the more things you do not have to keep in the bank with its limited amount of space. Of course you need a place to put those containers like a house or rented room. This is different than your inventory that you carry with you. You inventory only limits your carry weight. When you are carrying more that you can handle you will be encumbered and not able to teleport or move very fast which is not good for fighting.

 

While I highly encourage you to craft your own items, if you are just looking for containers to store items, I would be happy to mail you some Trunks. Trunks are a container that are all stackable on each other, can hold 300 items, and you can place these in your house or room if you are living in someone’s Inn. Just let me know.
