If our offline companions die and we exit the scene, they are all resurrected.

Can you elaborate? What build was this? Please use /devbug in game so we have that information please.
Do you mean they are resurrected in the scene and stand by the entrance when you zone in? What behavior are you seeing exactly?
    Thanks!

Just exit your current scene (like 3 skulls area) to Novia then the dead offline companions are resurrected.

Tamed pets can die permanently - they're handled differently and won't re-summon, you must rez or they'll be lost forever.

Companions and non-tamed pets don't have a persistent death state... you're free to re-summon them just about anytime, they always come back at full health. They're just being auto-summoned for you since you had them out before.

I think it doesn't make sense to just re-summon our dead companions to bring it back to life. In offline mode, I have used resurrect magic spell to resurrect our dead companions and what is the purpose of resurrect magic spell? And why we can only re-summon our dead companion but we cannot re-summon our dead pet in offline mode?
