No Refund on Prepaid Taxes?

I noticed I did not received any refund on my tax credits for my row lots that I have prepaid time on. Was this intentional or is this perhaps a bug?

 

Can confirm... same amount of days remain on the row lot taxes I owe and have already paid. Just money gone?

 

Sorry but yes this is how it works. Tax system is based on days, not amount paid.

 

This is second-hand, but Atos had said first-hand to someone that players with a certain number of days paid for now would see same amount of money, but more days after the patch.

We asked because we had wondered if we should have abandoned our lots to "reset" them and then pay the taxes again. (I had prepaid 90 days on a couple of row lots and would probably have reset them).

At the end of the day I can live with the loss, (for most people it would be a very small amount) but just relaying the impression we had.
