Remove Focus Transfer from Air Shield

    The focus transfer mechanic should be removed from air shield.

    Every other shield in the game provides attunement and some significant boost with no drawback.

    The focus mechanic with air shield ends up being a hinderance in many cases.

    Many Air mages do not use it and lose out on the attunement boost that every other tree gets.


    The new air shield should have attunement plus some boost related to the Air tree.

    Chance to stun melee attackers, misdirect projectiles, anything really.


    Using focus as a shield is a good feature but it makes more sense to put it in the Focus tree.

    It is the strongest shield you can have (like, you survive dragon attacks strong)

    So how should it be limited then, or nerfed if it does not run on focus anymore?

    I thought that the purpose of Shield of Air was the focus transfer?

    Didn't say limit or nerf, I said move it to the Focus tree.

    Doesn't really matter the original intent.

    I agree. Something like a dodge bonus or intermittent knockback or just anything that allows people to get the attunement without some huge drawback would be good.

    Shield in the focus tree would be someway strange given like.. everyone does that tree

    Air shield is a little screwy because it does not benefit an air mage at all. But it benefits melee characters quite nicely if used in many PVE scenarios. PVP, it's a very acute weakness in any sort of prolonged encounter.

    It's possibly a -very- appropriate idea that the Air Shield would benefit the Air Mage more than it would any other build. As it stands, the Air Mage is made significantly disadvantaged if using the Air Shield by burning Focus necessary for spamming lightning and chain lightning, the primary way to kill stuff as an Air Mage.
