Discontinuation of website shroudoftheavatar.game

    Dear Avatars,

    To provide a consistent user experience for all Shroud of the Avatar players we have decided to discontinue the website shroudoftheavatar.game and redirect all users to the website shroudoftheavatar.com, starting July 16th, 2018.


    What does this mean for your account if you have registered on shroudoftheavatar.game?
    • You will still be able to access shroudoftheavatar.com with your existing login credentials.
    • Your game access and all game related data will NOT be affected
    • Because your personal data is not shared, we kindly ask all players who registered on shroudoftheavatar.game to update their account details on the website shroudoftheavatar.com.

    Your personal data will be deleted from the Travian Games systems by July 31, 2018.

    Please feel free to contact the support teams at support@portalarium.com or support@shroudoftheavatar.game if you have any questions or need help.

    Good move, imho Travian never managed to get that website to the same quality level.
    Does that mean that the whole migration and any differences between US and EU as described in this annoucement are rolled back/no longer exist?

    @DarkStarr @Lord British @Cerus Can you please evaluate the possibility of making the same step with CIS zone or transfer us(CIS) into Travian jurisdiction?
    Your CIS partners Black Sun, unbelievably unprofessional guys, amount of negative to Black Sun from Russian community is beyond any possible limits. Its directly affects community behavior and at the moment trust level to them from the community is below zero.
    I don't know how you can solve this in the legal field, but if you want your game to be successful in CIS zone you should make them understand that way how Black Sun works now and quality of their services at the moment is absolutely impermissible.
    Our community is just tired to punch out from Black Sun services which we are paid for...

    Even as someone not in these regions, I think this is good news. Nothing against Taravian or Black Sun, but I think splitting the site like that made for an unnecessary fragmentation in an already fragmented community.

    I was not at all pleased with the original plans to split things up, since I felt what we had been told was 'Travian taking over marketing' had turned into something significantly bigger, and much worse - but I've been quietly impressed with the way Travian have been working with us (never been a customer of theirs, so their interaction with SotA is all I can work on) and I hope this means that while the 'split' of the websites doesn't happen, they remain very involved in SotA.

    I think that is a good news, although I found the idea of a multilingual site interesting (I hope there is still a possibility for non-English speaking players).

    But it is a relief to know that there will be no separation of players :)

    Keeping players together is always great.
    Wonder if anything changes with Travian cooperation. But again, not separating players is very positive. On the flip side: Port now has to deal with those crazy EU privacy regulations.
