    The R56 release notes state:

"Beer and Wine, which have relatively short maturation periods of 3 and 7 days respectively, are now balanced for a profitability more in line with other agricultural products."

However, as I noted in https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...numbers-port-hates-money.135320/#post-1099357 this isn't really an accurate statement.

With agriculture products, the vast majority return a profit if you purchase the water to grow the crops. With brewing, you only make a profit if you manually harvest all of the water necessary for every stage of the process (growing the crops as well as creating the brewing specific ingredients). So it really is not in line with agriculture. And even if you harvest the water, the profit is not remotely close to what you'd make just selling the raw wheat, etc to a vendor.

dont forget it is also only profit if you farm all the materials for a cask, other wise if you buy everything it takes 25 weeks for an 8 gold profit.

Yeah, at least for Beer and Wine, you'd be crazy to invest the time/effort into making the casks for them in the first place unless you want them for decor. What I really need is the whiskey prices.

Well if numbers follow of what beer and wine WAS, it is about 1 gold a day per. so a 2 year cask would be about 1200 gold per, where the 25 year is 14k per cask.

Yeah, I want the real numbers though. I have a handy dandy spreadsheet that lets me calculate out the profit margins. I want to see if it's truly worth doing whiskey.

And if it is if they then change it before its ready...

We should at the least be able to repurpose kegs to another type.

This isn't really a bug with "World Building, Scenes, Environment, & Overworld" - more of release feedback - perhaps you could delete this thread and restart the thread there, to keep the bug forums clean for the devs?

Yeah, it's always a fun debate about where odd things should go. It's an error in the release notes, so it seems like more than feedback. But there's no category for bugs with release notes or missing patch text, etc.

2 year has a stack value of 400 vendors for 8 per (live)
7 year stack value of 600 (roll back before vendor)
25 stack value of 1000 (roll back before vendor)

    So:
    2 year: 400g for 40 (10g/each)
    7 year: 600g for 40 (15g/each
    25 year: 1000g for 40 (25g each)

2 year is 30 days maturation, correct?
7 year is 90 days, correct?
25 year is 365 days, correct?

    Thanks!
