Completed the story on my alt

So, I decided to do the main story on my super low level alt, Rodan. I didn't grind, at all, and finished it at a final adventurer level of 56.

Oh yeah, there's still severe hitching. It was gone early on in QA but it's back now and just as bad as ever.

 

so what are your thoughts about it?

was it only possible because you knew what you were doing?

run into many/any bugs?

was it fun?

I did my quest reset last release did/tried to do the visit devotional quest. there was no feed back on if I completed part of the quest and could move all the way across the map to do the next step so I just kinda lost interest in doing the quest line again. thinking it was all going to be such a pain in the ass as that was.

 

I think that I was only able to complete it at such low level because I had already done it twice before.

Yes. The biggest of them was the hitching, which made it very frustrating at times.

I would say that overall it was fun, even the third time.

I mostly did it to get the row deed in order to claim another lot in my POT so that it doesn't look so empty.

Did you use a double xp weekend to reach adventurer level 56?

I did my story a couple of months ago up to path of the oracle (which I haven't done yet) on a double xp weekend.
I started at roughly adventurer level 25 and after the three paths I was around level 50-52 (don't remember exactly).
I died many times and had to rely on Youtube quite much to know what to do, sadly.

 

Any guides available that would help someone not very familiar with the quests for the shroud?

 

Theres a kinda neat one called Quests of the Avatar but I don't think it's maintained

Yeah, I made sure to complete quests on the weekends, that's why I was up so late last night.

Hey, not sure how I feel about recommending this, but since there are still issues with the hitching, especially depending on who is the instance *master/starter*, may want to suggest to people who are having issues in general to do zones in private/party mode until they finish what they need to (npc towns like Brittany for example). I don't like saying that due to the lack of seeing others, especially new players... but if it helps some people, may suggest it as a workaround. Did your particular hitching issues happen in "open" mode or in the private instanced parts of the quest chain?

 

I pretty much did the entire thing in private mode.
