Release 2 Instructions

$45 gets you the current alpha and future beta, and the full game upon release. So yep full game.

 

Push the R key to see the book. It only lists what you have already made though. It's a guessing game style similar to Minecraft, Don't starve, or Final Fantasy 11.

You'll find some of the SoTA wiki's have already updated with a bunch of the recipes, so you can cheat if you don't enjoy that challenge.

 

I believe first responder tier ($25) also were given access. This is what I pledged at and I was able to log in today.

Thanks - I DID finally figure it out (started pushing all the keys to see what happened) and managed to sort out a few (20ish) recipes. Nothing for tailoring yet though... and why on earth do I have a stags head? *scratches own head*

 

It can be mounted... It's a pretty simple recipe. (carpentry).

 

So is it just me or does crafting not work? I've tried every combination of recipes and material and molds down with tools on the table but alas no ability to craft a thing...

 

recipes need to be exact... even quantities.

 

I quite like this crafting system, and I ordinarily do not like crafting in other games. Well done!

There's another thing I like in this pre-alpha so far, and that is the guard watching over the island castle in Kingsport! He is hilarious.

You mean the one guarding the large castle that definitely isn't there?

 

Indeed! For the sake of my post I was merely pretending it is there, all to help others understand which guard I meant.

 

To be fair, it's very easy to believe that it is there, because from a distance, it looks like it can be see quite clearly. It's only once the guard informs you otherwise that you realise that it actually isn't there...

finajk: press the R key...also read the release 2 instructions Chris took the time to write out for us; they explain crafting and include a few recipes to get you started.

 

If you hit "R" it will bring up a book of recipes that you have discovered/crafted. As you discover new ones it adds them so you don't have to try and remember all your known ones.

 

Until the Linux build has a patcher, can't we have a announcement of whenever there is a new Linux build level out?

Yeah, I had to keep checking back on the first post to see if they updated the link to the Linux or Mac builds. They did indeed update the Linux builds a few times already.

 

We've pushed a patch to fix some of the issues people have been having. Please restart your game clients to update to version 57, and you can check out the patch notes for complete details.
