I had posted some months back about what the OP is asking. I have not found good places for soloing at level 70-85. I've grinded a lot of Deep Ravenswood, Crag Foothills, and Grannus zone (though too many elites at the end of Grannus to solo). But with none of these areas is there really interesting content or questy stuff beyond just grinding on enemies. There are a few areas with mobs too tough to solo at level 70-85 that are designed for grouping (though I gave up on grouping because of the awful hitching I always experience in groups).

It would be cool if there were more content things to do after obtaining the Shroud. Even story-based dailies would be a step up from simply grinding the same old monsters (and even then, in only a couple select zones).

The timing for that is just really bad... If it was 8:30? I might be able to make a few of those, but 10:30 is pushing deep into time for bed territory for me.

    Thanks for the offer though!

@Nelzie I think Lace was just giving you an example of how his/her outcome of the example, not that you have to do PVP. It was just an example, but you could relate it to PvE also. I think the suggestion of the Trolls above is great. It helped me out when I was around your AL.

I have found one daily that I can just manage, if I kite appropriately and have enough Corpion Poison on me...

In Sieges, if I can knock down enough Engineers and get the Arcane Essence vials, turning in 18 of those will net 800 Gold and 24,000 XP as a daily award. I just can't solo the boss after taking out all the catapult installations on a siege yet.

I did blades and fire and droppedfire to just do blades/subterfuge/light armor. At level 70ish a buddy at lvl 90ish was confused that i was doing so much, and having blades at 120 helped alot (its like attunment for swords)

How does subterfuge work in large amounts of mob combat?

Right now, I can run about and destroy a group of three to four Hardened Elven Fighters, along with two Hardened Elven Mages and a pair of Hardened Elven Archers, all aggoring me at the same time and be done with a majority of them within 30 to 45 seconds. (Poison on a dagger and short sword for the win!) Less than 1 minute 10 and all them are gone and I MIGHT go into the danger zone on health a few times, sometimes... they get lucky.

    It's fun and possible though.

I have been thinking of further building up my Fizzle offset and going shield and long sword (DPS) or keep the short sword (better poison and higher crit chance) to take a good deal of the edge off with those obnoxious archers. Those are the only mobs that grind my gears.

With the scene difficulty balances did we get any tier 6 or 7s? That's what we need.

I don't want more "Grind" Zones... at least not feeling like a grind the first couple of times the place is visited. I want to see more story based zones, with things to do and maybe individual or sets of middling level named boss mobs that may or may not drop some rare piece of kit that's something cool to look at placed in player home or maybe is a pattern for armor or a weapon, unique to that middle tier boss.

Subterfuge is more like controlling combat than nuking a group of baddies. For instance, last night anaether corpion was killing my party but i was able to stun it for about 30 seconds with Sap to give everyone a chance to res as long as noone damaged it.

6 stack sneak is very nice for taking out a cultist marksman before engaging with the 2 siege engineers, and engage opponent having next to no focus cost is handy in that same situation.

I completely agree, I am adventure level 86 and have run into this issue.
    https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...ons-to-puzzles-treasure-hunts-spoilers.61625/
so at time when I get bored I will go and do one of these puzzles or treasure hunts

Oracle clossuss was fun and has a nice hidden chest
Tenebris Harbor I went to the other day it was fun did not have a chance to do the puzzle though
Sequanna Colossus the necromancer lab was not that bad
Etceter Crag Mines going through the spiritual barrier there is a lich there that was fun

Adventuring for a blessing before you go out helps break up the monogomy

Last there are a lot of quests and I wish we had a list somewhere but questing for the gear that is going to be changed soon is also on my agenda, and there are some other quests that give unique and cool items, but I found the only real way to hunt them down is to go through release notes at this point anyway.

While I have yet to go to every new updated zone with the recent releases, they did list all the zones they increased with the ++s by them. Some are a lot more challenging. Have you tried any of those yet? I've really only tried the higher end stuff atm, save for places quests take me through. There is so many places, I just can't keep up with them all, hah.

You should be getting to the point where you could do small group/partner runs in The Rise as well until you can tackle the standard *trash* and rooms by yourself as well. Until then, perhaps Krawl and Non-city sides of K'rul as well in addition to the above mentioned updated zones. The pirate zones of Tenebris Harbor and Penmawr Island from R53 should be in your level range as well. I mean, you'll always probably have to grind in some fashion, but may give you some new places to do so at for a bit. If you like the Upper Tears feel of waves of stuff coming at you, Tenebris Harbor has a similar mechanic on the docks which can spawn named pirates for keys to chests, or if you and some friends/guildies want you could do some of the control points and see how that fares for you.

    WOW!

I mean... I've seen some of these things as stuff to puzzle my way through, but... I had no idea that there exists this much! Thanks!

I have so much to start seeking out now!

You're welcome. I really can't take any credit for the work. @Rinaldi and the others there contributing to it are the real MVPS.

But I hope it gives you some more content to play around with. There's really a lot of stuff out there to get into. It's just a matter of exploring and getting off the beaten path most people follow. Which can be tough in a world with little direction.

Very true. I almost figured out the way into the Child King's tomb, but timing kept me from finishing it and... when I came back, I moved off to other things.

I'm definitely going to start heading back there AND look into some of these 3 day long blessing/buffs.

Your problem with doing the higher content is probably gear related now that you have hit the flattening of the power curve due to diminishing returns. Good gear that increases your base stats and has some relavent damage modifiers.

My suggestion is work out what would be the good gear for your build and go farm the materials you will need to make it. Even if you aren't a crafter. Most crafter's I know will make you stuff for free if you supply the materials. It gold free leveling of their skills. I do and I'm a leather armour and bow specialist crafter.

    It'll get better, keep going.

I would suggest this... there's no rush man. People are already far, far beyond where you're at.... And there's not much to do after a certain point until Ep 2, so take it easy. Take a break, even.

Retire from adventuring for a bit. Start a business, make some gold or cotos.

If you start getting frustrated, we lose another positive supporter of our game which is not good for anyone.

    This is an excellent point.
The majority of my adventuring is in the pursuit and acquisition of 'stuff' which I use to craft and decorate my house, or my husband's house, or my neighbour's house....a very nice man named Griffler made me steward of his town and said "go forth and decorate" so a lot of stuff that I do is in some way a long term pursuit of some town-related goal - whether its writing lore books for the library, decorating something, filling up vendors with things, or out killing stuff to make cash to buy more deeds to expand the amount of 'occupied' town space it has given me a long term goal to reach for. I appreciate not everyone has a Griffler. But even doing this on a smaller scale to save up for your own property, or decorate your property, or expand your property. If you don't like deco, you can instead turn to trade, and instead of 'grinding the most lucrative scene' explore, find places that are comfortable for you to acquire materials and acquire, acquire, acquire! I once spent two weeks solely in the acquisition of mushroom-shaped-chairs because "we needed more." At the moment I'm commiting elf genocide because I want to learn how to make their furniture. I find that even with my considerable playtime each release adds enough 'stuff' to keep me busy until the next but I spend very little time pure grinding. The "level ups" will happen when they happen.

I had the same issue. I beat the main quest and had enough exp to introduce me to most skills. It was fun learning and trying new skills but then I realized my only purpose was to grind and master these skills.

The one thing I really enjoyed about Wow was teaming up and going on these five man dungeons to defeat a boss and get a chance at winning an upgrade on a roll. No skill cap and RMT ruins this aspect.

I'm not frustrated. I just want more to do in these middling levels that "hide" the grind. New, cool things that would probably being super boring and easily farmed by more established characters, but fun challenges with neat (even just cosmetic) rewards for players all the way through the game.

Things that just hide the grind. The grind will still be there, but it won't be as noted or feel as oppressive and standing over your shoulder as much.
