Ive just started playing the game an in highvale. Everything has a glow around it which makes it very difficult to see and details. Almost like a low resolution graphic. Am I doing something wrong or what can be done to fix this.. Ive played the beta versions with no issues

without a screenshot i'm only guessing, but try boosting reflection quality to high if it isn't already.

As the others have said, Screenshot is very helpful. Before you even do anything else, I'd make sure that you're running the latest graphics/display driver available. That is often an easy fix for odd graphical anomalies.

What kind of system do you have? Do you have more than 8 GB RAM? The game is intense in the amount of items it has to load so imo you should have 12-16 gb.

I use Imgur to drag screenshots from the game that I take to my Imgur and then I select the image and right click and copy and paste to my post here in the forums. I hope that makes sense.

While in game, type/bug and then paste the info contained in that to a post in this thread.

Everyone mentions how to upload the screenshot but nobody mentions how to actually take the screenshot, lol.

Press the 'F11' key to take a screenshot while you are playing.

You're assuming he's on windows and not mac or linux tho.

Mac: Command + Shift + 4, highlight screen area

F11 is the in-game screen shot command, it's not OS specific.

Oh good to know. But the F keys work differently on macs, F11 controls volume, you have to use fn + F11, and using the Mac screenshot mechanism is a bit better, you can frame it.

I have 6GB of physical ram (the most my system will accept) and 7GB virtual ram.

oh boy. yeah, that's not the reflection quality setting. please use the /bug command. that'll generate a draft bug report, stick it on your clipboard ready to paste in, and open the forum to the bug section for this release. include that screenshot.

your processor just makes the minumum spec, but neither your graphics card nor system memory reach. it's POSSIBLE this is an issue with driver versions, but it could just be the age of the hardware.

What are the System Requirements for Shroud of the Avatar?

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 7 64 bit or newer
    • Processor: Quad Core 2.4 GHz or faster
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: DirectX 11 Compatible NVIDIA 960 / AMD 560
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection (Not required for Offline Mode)
    • Hard Drive: 22 GB available space

    Recommended:
    • Processor: Quad Core 2.8GHz or faster
    • Memory: 12 GB RAM
    • Graphics: DirectX11 Compatible AMD Radeon R9 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
    • Hard Drive: SSD

Oh my Im sorry your computer seems so out of date. I am not that knowledgeable about everything about computers but I did just upgrade mine about a year ago and I got an Nvidia 1060. I'm sure that's part of your problem but perhaps some one here can advise. I don't see the game the same way you do. One player playing the game had lots of freezing and disconnects. He is a disabled vet and got help getting a new graphics card.

That looks like a shader issue. Seems to highlight materials that (should) have reflections.

Make sure your system supports shader model 3.0
