You could have a "blank" column, then another planted one at a level to water from the roof?

Sorry, I missed this post sir or I would have replied sooner.

Yes, I could probably put in some blank column(s) in the middle and then potted ones up higher that I could plant/water/harvest from the rooftop. I have not tried to do it yet, but I'm pretty sure it will work. I did stand up on the roof and test the range of my agriculture skills and it can definitely work with some creativity.

I am attempting this, and I cannot get the beds to stack on the blocks. Had a friend who has used this technique before come over and try it, and he couldn't do it, either. Anyone tried it recently? Has it been 'fixed'?

The trick is to have other blocks surrounding the one you want the bed to sit on. Basically, make a flat surface of blocks, place the bed on the blocks, then remove blocks one at a time from underneath. Eventually, you will take away every block except the one that will support it by itself.

Try do this inside the iron greenhouse. Remove the greenhouse when you are done.

Ah yes, I forgot that some lots require you to do it inside a greenhouse.

Is it possible to do this inside the Row home with the greenhouse on the top floor?

Yes, it's possible to do it. However, it must be done in a swamp POT.

I can't seem to replicate this, either. What's the trick to getting it started? I"m on a village lot, if that has anything to do with it. Would this also work in a basement if the ceiling was high enough?

Whats watering this like? Can you get everything in the stack with one watering attempt (whatever fits in the radius?)? Or, do you have to level yourself with each bed and make a watering attempt per-level?

Probably won’t work in the basement. The trick is to do this in a swamp POT.

I tried the 'R' key (in a large greenhouse, small greenhouse, outside, and in basement) and it didn't do anything. Is that also a 'swamp only' thing? Or a Row greenhouse only thing?

Blergh and bummer. Those lucky duck swamp dwellers! =(
Guess if I wanna be an 'extreme' farmer, I'm gonna have to move to a swamp, eh?

I couldn't get it to stand up like that either in the Swamp POT. Not sure how that player did it.

So apparently, the recent announcement about the nerf to farming relates to vertical farming. But there are folks that use vertical farming. [IMG]
