I think the title says it all.

@Chris @DarkStarr @Lord British - Where does the "balancing" stop? In my humble opinion, you are making this much worse and more painful than it has to be. If you need examples, there are plenty in these forums. Stop the madness already.

People who have good builds are suddenly lame. That isn't balance.

Idealism will ruin this experience. Stop it!

    Agreed.

Please move on to things that don't wreck player experience and confidence.

Spot on. We just had one guildie log in for the first time in ages, went to his favorite hunting spot - got totally owned - spent 10mill XP on skills, tried again and logged out (cancelling his sub). Sweeping changes like we've had this release are costing players, and that's the last thing this game can afford right now.

What you refer to as balance is not this dev team's definition of balance. This crap should have been done a long time ago.

I agree, with those many new things coming in, there is always a need to adjust. Just a fact of online gaming. IMO

I have played many MMOs over 20 years. The games normally scale with expansions, this is true, but the fiddling that goes on here a monthly basis destroys builds - and player confidence.

That rebuild stuff is fine every year or every 18 months, usually with new skills, new maps and tougher zones. Not weakening existing skills and rehashing old zones. There is no sense of 'progression' for an average player such as myself.

All I feel is knockbacks and regression. Save this stuff for chapter 2.

Now, by all means express your love for all things SOTA, but my experience is different. And my patience is wearing mighty thin.

I like the changes, it’s not as fun when only a few select spots of the game provides enough challenge. (I’m not super high level either.) Changes can be frustrating but whatever we are used to doesn’t have to be the best. What matters is the state of the game, there has to be enough content and good challenge/reward for everyone. (But it doesn’t have to be in the same place as always.)

Agreed - changes like this are costing players, which is BAD for the state of the game

The changes are random. There is no roadmap to the change. I have seen many changes here to the so-called balance and really what it comes down to is a version of 'these people are having way too much fun".

This isn't pre-release or alpha or beta releases. This is the Game!

I'm done with this topic. If the devs won't listen, they will continue to lose players. Deal with me accordingly.

They are not asking to Win.. They are asking for them to stop crippling them at every turn.

I do agree with this, its a constant struggle trying to reinvent your skills after each patch. I don't mind the mobs getting harder but all the changes to skills makes it really hard sometimes. then having to rebalance our skills and untrain gets costly. in most other mmo's when they make major changes they at lease give you a skill reset free.

Balancing in an mmo type of game never stops. Better get used to it.

This is SotA the only thing constant is change. The only balanced unbalanced force. I'm surprised most people aren't use to this by now.

The other constant is that people will defend against any kind of criticism, even if it's deserved.
