    Hello,

I am using OsX Mojave and could play R59 with "-force-glcore". After installing and testing R60QA a bit, I cannot play R59 (using -force-glcore) for more than 5 seconds. The game freezes my machine totally up. To reiterate, a previously working R59 stopped working after installing and playing R60QA. I feel heavily cheated for testing out new software and will certainly refrain from doing so in the future.

Maybe the error is bad preferences? Where can I delete old preferences?
This might also hint at the problem why Mojave cannot use the Metal interface (and needs to -force-glcore).

Are you unable to launch the game via METAL (without the -force-glcore option)? MacOS Mojave deprecated OpenGL so it is likely that's why it does not work correctly using OpenGL.

Just tested this on a Mojave laptop and it worked with METAL and OpenGL. What scenes were you heading into when the lockup happened?

    Same w/o trying R60.
All good until last night (11/06/18).
Only scene where I don't crash is with a character in Forewind staying on the docks fishing. If I try to leave the docks, I crash to desktop.
Alternate character started crashing in South Fetid Swamp upon loading. Restarted outside swamp/in overworld and crashes upon any movement attempt.

Using MacOS Mojave 10.14.1, the game keeps freezing up in Metal today. It was working well yesterday.

This might be related to the crash we're seeing when certain abilities are used (NPCs can cause this as well) so lets wait until that is resolved (hopefully next QA build) and then revisit these potential issues.

    Hi,

as I mentioned, the crash happen in the Novia overworld (around Verat Chaos).

"have you tried turning it on and off again" helped.

I could "solve" the issue this way:
    1. started in R60QA, setting to -force-glcore (it was on that setting anyway, but I re-launched R60QA)
    2. loading into R59 with -force-glcore
I have terrible hitching and sometimes go down to 2 fps (on a 8GB Radeon 580 Pro) but the game works-ish.

My point was, that just by using the R60QA, I could not use R59 anymore. So there clue will be at the settings that R60QA overwrites and that R59 somehow honors (and crashed because of it).
I have deleted the QA version and will not use it anymore.

Adding some more annecdata. I'm on OSX Mojave also and have failed to load on 3 patches this release, including the OSX one.

No errors given. Sometime between 97% loading and 2s after loading a scene, my computer hangs completely. I've waited 20 minutes and am still unable to move the cursor or affect any keypresses.

I've tried 3 patches this release, and obviously restarted my PC as i have no choice every time I attempt to play.

I've also re-installed and tried a new install of the native launch client.

there was a warning in my syslog:
Nov 12, 2018 at 10:24:13 PM Shroud of the Avatar[1873]: DEPRECATED USE in libdispatch client: dispatch source activated with no event handler set; set a breakpoint on _dispatch_bug_deprecated to debug

here's what it looks like, just leave it paused on the end, make and enjoy a cup of coffee, and then turn your computer off for added realism.
