On that note, they could use a décor pass as well.

Before the player dungeons became a real thing i liked to use the stone arena basements for my village, town and city lots, would be also nice to have that rooms as foyers or add on rooms :)

Or better yet, a new dungeon arena. :)

Yes, I agree! I would love to have the mine foyer as a room deeper in my dungeon, not as the entrance. I've held off purchasing this item because it doesn't suit my dungeon design as an entry area. But, it would make an awesome addition as a room a little bit deeper.

I just want a craftable dungeon foyer that matches the style of the craftable hall and room pieces.

I like this Idea as well. Would be nice to use them as rooms in the dungeon, I suspect the stairs going up and door or ladder maybe the issue. perhaps making those as additional exits from the dungeon and leaving them?

Yes please. I have a couple of them (that I paid money for) and would like to make use of them instead of sitting in a trunk. :D

Once/If they let us connect dungeons with each other we would in a way have a dungeon with multiple entry rooms.
Would probably not be that hard for them to make a normal room version of each foyer with some minor changes like stair removal.

Even though I don't plan to build a "fight-able dungeon", I do think many of these awesomely designed foyers, should be available as rooms to add to our passive/fun/practical dungeons!
I would delete my basement, if I could add these awesome foyers!
After-all, this game is a sand-box, to help us create the world, that We want. :)

Omg yes please - that will give us an incentive to get more than the one foyer we have

Hmm, I like that idea. That would let us place a new foyer every time we go down a level and would help to show it just got harder.

It would be cool as a level marker, but I'm against using it as a room. We need to know where the entrance rooms are or it will get confusing.

That's what graph paper is for! ;)

In all seriousness, it's up to the dungeon owner to design a good experience. If they want a confusing dungeon then by all means. :) I don't think we need to limit them with unnecessary rules.

For that matter, same goes with 'griefing' dungeon design. Devs shouldn't need to worry about people getting blocked in.. if a dungeon earns that kind of reputation it won't get many visitors. Let the 'market' decide is what I say.

    Bowen, ye may be right.

I found it quite annoying when people told me the RULES were that we can't fight in certain rooms they're selling for money because of the silly deco constraints (I have a hard time believing that decos are going to create any kind of exploitable farming of enemies that makes sense, considering the already draconian limits on what xp and drops we get out of dungeons) so I guess I'm all for a TOTAL FREE FOR ALL on dungeon rooms.

I can understand not wanting players to exploit for XP and loot from spawned critters but you can control that with the spawn system. ie loot must be added by the dungeon owner.. including gold. XP is capped per minute or what have you..

Apart from that. I see no reason players can't have free reign. Why over complicate? :)

Hmmm, in the 125 points dungeon you can make >90k XP in 6-8 minutes by just doing the skeletons, ghosts, liches, slimes and 2nd skeleton encounters. (18+ 30k +30k +18k) Even more if mages spawn more often. And when you return to the 1st skeleton encounter they are already respawned. Thats not a bad XP farming at all.
But i agree with the drops.

Path finding for mobs can be difficult. It's not too hard for a player to place deco in such a way that it limits, or traps, a mob...making it easier to kill.
Does the player know where the mobs spawn? Set up walls to contain the mob, and a higher vantage point to shoot the mob with arrows.
Can the player find the pathing of a mob, and construct a pen to kite the mob into and trap, then shoot the mob from a safe distance?

Part of world design is to create an area that mobs won't have difficulty in. When you allow players to build the world a hostile mob spawns into, you're inviting exploits.
I know, I was a world builder for an MMO for 3 years.
