I kinda looked at it like:
    1) swords PURE damage, REND is abotu as OP as OP can get and it even applies a heal debufff...
    2) spears - less damage than spears but you can move mobs around
    3) maces - less damage than spears but you can stun the crap out of mobs
    4) bows - well, yeah bows. I guess you can always add more bows to gorups as their skills don't counter each other like rends do.

I’ve now played with all 4 weapon skills and that’s pretty much my opinion. I recently just switched my alt from Spear to sword, and holy crap is that skill utterly OP. Lol.

They all however have their uses. Stun from maces is still pretty sweet...

But bows are situational, if you control where the fight happens.

If/when castle siege come in, there will be outcry of OP ranged when 4 ranged drop a wall of ice field and tag everyone with disabling shot then concentrate fire and drop everyone.....

But as i said earlier I think it is the light armour that most people play with the bow build that hurts the build the most.

It is also level dependent, different build are more and less powerful depending on the XP invested. i would say bow are very good early game with next to no XP invested compared to other weapons with next to no XP investment. Bows do struggle in the end game of 10+ million XP investment in the tree to be comparable, its power does not scale with XP investment as well as most of the other weapons. But as I have also said, I have found it viable for PvE at high level, even if it is not optimal.

Dodge is heavily influenced by your dex too. The higher your dexand the lower thiers is (or int in the caseofmages) the more likely you are to dodge

Its the reason Numbing poison is my favorite

I'm seriously considering moving specialization from life to air for this very reason (plus more crit).

I just started to play in the summer of 2018. But now, my ranged weapon causes me to loss large amount of AP(200,00+) in most adventuring zones. What changed? What do I need to mod on my build? What is the highest level that a skill can be raised to?

You can have skill up to 150 or 200 if u want but after 100 the exp needed increase exponentially. Most people have the base combat skill up to 130-140, then other skill at around 100-120 (120 is the new 100). If you use skill in pve, think about charging/stacking it before landing it for increased damage and save on focus. Also choose well what specialisation you need for your build. If your going damage with bow, i suggest tactics tree for the berseker stance and extra crit damage.

Yes, berserker stance works like a charm. It's crazy good when you crit a lot. I'm using ranged myself and there is a significant difference damage wise. The negative sides of berserker stance are easily overcome (or can be ignored) if you know what you are doing.

For clarification: Berserker stance gives a bonus to strenght, attack speed and movement speed. If you get the tactics specialisation it also gives a critical damage bonus. 75% increase at level 80 of the tactics specialisation. Be sure that you use cover while using it though, cause your resistance is shot.

I assume you mean adventurer experience points? You don't loose them; they get pushed into any skills you have set to train. You also don't need a large experience pool now that decay has been removed (unless you want to train an expensive skill, like one that takes lots of reagents, then a large pool will help conserve those reagents).

You do more damage with Berzerker stance, but it does have a drawback, you take more damage because of it's debuffs. I use defensive stance and with a sword and shield you can last a lot longer with defensive vs berserker. That said still use Bezerker a lot.

It sure does, but i am using ranged. So getting near melee is a big no/no for me. I have enough speed to always outrun them. Against ranged or mages i need to use cover a lot though. Cover is my best defense, which is kinda sad really. I have 180+ dex and yet i still hardly dodge.

Defensive stance is definitely nice, but really situational for me. I only use it when i'm about to be overwhelmed by a horde of mobs. For the rest my motto is hit hard, kill fast. Berserker stance plays a vital role in that. I can fight pretty effectively like this, i do not even use healing magic. Though a last resort healing potion is needed at times.:D
