SotAwiki Update Thread

a large number of those housing changes were that some of the oldest houses' pages were made before keep lots existed, so they didn't say they could be placed on them

 

Yeah, I don't have any issue with those changes. I'm not even sure the errors I'm seeing are related. I've just been away since year-end, so getting caught up on wiki maintenance tasks takes a while.

I think maybe I should create templates for the different house lots, so it could be a one-time update if something else changes. Pondering...

 

@Browncoat Jayson Something is going odd with some tools (like the pickaxe). See http://sotawiki.net/sota/Oskar_Jarnsmid#Sells for example (Expression error: Unexpected > operator.)

 

i noticed if you go to the pickaxe page it doesn't have a price listed. that's probably what needs to be added

 

There is a "sell price", which is used to override the "value", so that is fine. I just resaved the topics and everything is good. I assume there was some issue running scripts overnight, but I don't see anything in the log files.

The only thing throwing an error currently is a Wooden Short Bow, which we don't have a value or sell price set for. I can check on that later, if noone else gets to it first.

 

with the upcoming additional attributes to back-slot items, i've gone through and assigned a category for (i think) all the backpacks, quivers, and wings, and am starting in on the actual cloaks. the category page needs to be set up, though, and linked as a subcategory of equipment.

not sure what to do with the container subcategory of equipment: there's not much in it and almost none of them are actually equipment, just backpack.

 

Container probably shouldn't be a equipment sub-cat, but still useful. Thanks for starting on the back slot work.

recipe in recipe book says Accordion

looks like the telethon one is actually "Virtue Accordion" in game, so if that's moved, then "Crafted Accordion" can be moved to "Accordion"

Is the in-game name just "Cloak", or is the recipe "Cloak" and the item name "Plain Cloak"? I've moved it to "Cloak", but if its the other way let me know.

Sorry, should have posted here as well as on Twitter.

We are doing some maintenance, and ran into some theme errors while updating. You might see a couple of hiccups as things get updated, and it may look a bit different until we get the theme reapplied. Bear with us!

 

it seems to be working now... I like the white look...

 

+1 for classic wiki look... it really annoyed me when Wikia first deprecated, then completely removed it (from the FFXI wiki), and now it's an excessively busy thing covered with random art, and the page formatting is screwed up because they stuck a (basically useless) "recently changed" thing into a third column of every page. This is taking Sotawiki in the opposite direction!

The main title art still needs to be re-formatted, but now it looks like a proper wiki.

 

The previous theme is no longer compatible with the updated version of WikiMedia, so we will be making updates moving forward. It may take some time to get everything fixed visually. If you come across anything that is broken, functionality-wise, please let me know.
