Think this was answered. Set one to Training, it will randomly pick one of the others to Unlearning even if it is one you rather have Maintaining? So either play the toggle game or first set one to Unlearning so you keep the two you want? You gave examples of 2 skills, but what about 3+?

Reduces the contribution of that tree to decay. Does that mean it takes the saved 7,500 in that tree and takes it from other trees?

I can't answer this as I only have two learned. I imagine that if you have two already set to Maintaining and you set a third specialization to Training then at least one of the others will be set to Unlearning. I'm pretty sure that If one of your skills is already set to Training then it will get set to Maintaining and the other will get set to Unlearning. In any case, you will get chat messages telling you the new state of your other specialization skills.
Each skill that you have above 40 contributes some amount to your accumulated decay. Any decay that is contributed from skills in a tree that has a currently active specialization will be reduced by 75%. This is specifically so that people who have specialization can take the skills in that tree much higher. The decay reduction is not "paid for" by punishing you somewhere else. It's just simply not calculated in to begin with.

has there been any updates on specialization lately? Specifically a listing for what you gain from specializing in each tree?

Supposed to be listed next to the skills that can improve with it...

Yup yup... when you hover over skills or at the trainer you will see "skill specialisation adds to duration" etcetera...

if it says nothing then it's not enhanced... and oh btw I think its become taboo to ask about the summons :p

Dumb question but if I change my mind on what I specialized in, can I just toggle another one on and unlearn the other? I just want to make sure I'm not stuck with a certain specialization if I feel it's not working out the way I want it to.

You are correct. Mark the one you don't want anymore with the double down arrow and put the one you want on up.

With no impact on innates, it seems like the best use of Specializations are purely on damage/active effect glyphs.

So, Blades and a Magic School would be a better option for me, rather than Blades and Light Armor. (Since I won't be seeing an increase in movement speed or weapon speed as that is an innate skill.) However, I would see more damage and effect, if I specialized in Fire alongside Blades.

    ...or am I missing something?

The down arrows only give like 50% exp back, the scroll of unlearning will give either 90% or 100% back.

    I think you are correct.

On the Taming side, specalization increases pet’s damage and hit points.

Even though I use light armor, I ultimately specialized in Life to go along with Ranged because I felt that it would provide more benefit.

    @Chris
Since decay has been removed, what happens if you go to the Oracle to get another Elixir of Dread, Gem of Truth or Tear of Sorrow?

I thought you got those from automatons in the Colossus scenes? Man, if I could just get them from the Oracle, I'd be using them all the time.

They cause aoe CC effects and big stuff like that, but you have to say a 20 letter phrase and you have to spend a death worth of exp to make the reagent. I would assume that it still eats your exp when you make it, but who can say?

If I recall correctly, you lose xp from your pool when you ask for them.
