It seems like fonts are sharper.

I just was writing up a bug report about colors in Live and stepped into QA, looking at the exact same pillows, and the colors are pretty good on QA. Pink is pinker, blue doesn't look like dirty grey. Maybe that was just changed in this version but if not....

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Perhaps your saturation slider in the options is not set the same on live and QA? Other different graphics options?

    Everything is the same.

Going back and looking at the pillows again it's hard to tell if I'm right due to having totally readjusted lighting in the building since QA.

So I went outside and double checked saturation, which has no numerical value, so at the center could be off one way or the other. On QA the lighting is more vibrant, a bit more washed out on Live. I adjusted the slider down to minimum, almost black and white, since the extreme is the only time I can be sure they match. Same story, the QA version has more color.

Whether that makes it better or not is subjective, so I'll reword the question. "Why the difference?"

Well, currently, QA is on Unity 2018.3, and Live is on Unity 2018.2, perhaps this is causing a difference. The next QA build, 792, will be on Unity 2018.2, just like live, perhaps you could compare again.

The past few QAs the graphics have seemed better on QA than live. There has been a noticeable difference for a while. Or, it's possible a few people that think this are just crazy ;)

(I'm one of the crazy ones)

Actually, QA build 792 has serious problems and will not be published, and since yall have helped us figure out the crash issue on 2018.3, the next QA build will probably be 2018.3 with some reflection changes to hopefully prevent the crashes.

Crazy question - but since it's a separate install - are you sure you have the graphics options configured the same for both ?

Did you make any adjustments using the Nvidia (or ATI/AMD equivalent) control panel for the program itself? On my home system, I have the display settings jacked up to max in the Nvidia control panel - but that's tied to the actual .exe itself - if you did something similar, that could be making a difference also.

Added a screenshot of what I'm talking about:

I am also on that crazy list by the way, QA always have looked better for some "crazy" reason. I also have all the sliders and settings the same.

Then again you can call us crazy, the same crazy as the past stuttering issue on QA only right?

And yes my out of game settings are everywhere the same as I always use global settings. Never per game profiles.

Really? You can make the game much better looking with the out of game AMD/Nvida settings!

Ok I'm all ears. I've got a great rig with an Nvidia card, what should I muck with?

The screenshot shows good settings. Start with those. I can give you a screenshot later for my settings. I am currently not on a machine with Windows, but will post later on.
Which card do you have? As it could be different with other cards.

    Same as me. Nice.

I am using a FreeSync monitor with the new (beta) Gsync compatible functionality.

    Here top part:

    Thanks!

I've got a freesynk monitor as well but didn't bother enabling the update as I don't see tearing in game, and I believe that's what it reduces. Did you notice a difference after enabling it?

No difference really, I just like it if everything just works together :)
