    In the livestream, they said eventually they may add the ability to upgrade from land to water, but I think that's restricted to POT deeds.

    There is an option to upgrade your Tax Free deeds to the next lot size level.

    Yes. Prices on those conversions are listed earlier in this thread even. :)

    I have just tested on my deed to see the cost (possible that is have made some error):
    Tax free Row Lot Deed -> Village 170
    Tax Free Founder Row Lot Deed -> Village 210
    Tax Free POT Village -> Town 400
    Tax Free Village Lot Deed -> Town 360
    Tax Free Founder Village Lot Deed -> Town 410
    TF POT Town -> City 400
    Tax Free POT City -> Keep 1000
    Tax Free Founder Keep -> Castle 2200
    Tax Free Founder Town -> City 500
    Tax Free Founder City -> Keep 1300
    POT Village ->Town 30
    POT Row -> Village 20
    TF POT Keep -> Castle 2000

    You keep the property tax free, founder, … when you upgrade.

    I think Kron is referring to a current land only TF POT Town Lot Deed to a water deed TF POT Town Lot Deed. If he uses the voucher upgrade in the add-on store, then the TF Deed becomes a Taxed Deed. It's in the Upgrade description...

    "If you are converting a tax-free deed, it will become a taxed deed. Tax Free water lots were an exclusive pledge reward from Kickstarter."

    I think the real question should be: what happens if you upgrade your town deed to a water town deed but the water is cold - will it downgrade to a village water deed due to shrinkage?

    I think the prices for Villages need to be adjusted ... a PA TF Village Lot deed is cheaper to upgrade then a POT one ?
    Esp. if you consider that it takes 500 Crowns for a Founder Town -> City.

    Tax Free POT Village -> Town 250
    Tax Free Village Lot Deed -> Town 290
    Tax Free Founder Village Lot Deed -> Town 310

    would be more in line with the rest of the conversion costs imho.

    My Benefactor TF PA village lot deed -> Town is 400, not 360. I don't know where they got 360 from.

    Yes, has to be in inventory or in bank though. Does not work if it's currently claiming a lot.

    Ah bummer. Because just because i want to update a deed doesn't mean i want to take it of the lot.
    But hey, it's the first version of the system ^^

    Yea, you can save the lot to the magic mover - Property Manager, then unclaim the lot, upgrade, reclaim the lot, restore the property.

    Might be an issue for NPC town lot owners who don't want to risk someone ninja stealing the lot... but otherwise it's not that hard to do it.

    One of the (many) reasons getting rid of SPO in towns was a bad idea. Now people can watch to see if someone's at a lot.

    So has to unclaim a lot deed before can upgrade it?
    Would prefer if could upgrade it directly in the 'u' interface

    Well, one thought there was that a size upgrade doesn't really do you any good if you aren't going to claim a different lot than you already are, so we didn't implement upgrades in-place. It could be done in the future though.

    I can see how it could be useful if you plan to move in the future. Perhaps you're waiting on a specific spot to open and want to keep your current lot until it does? :) Or maybe waiting for your POT in Episode 2 and want to keep your current lot until it releases.

    Also it's a way to check cost so you can plan ahead (for them that not simply ask others where the info is)
