I want to support getting mounts but I find nothing in the store desirable, why not sell a foal nightmare or a few mystery eggs that get updated with cracks in them as funding goes up on the goal. make something cool to buy please.

in neverwinter I spent $35 to get
    [IMG]

    and over $200 to get

compare that to a reddish horse, a tan horse, a barn, and its easy to see why the goal is not being funded.

Whole store needs new stuff. Maybe once they get more artists. I'm sitting here burning a hole in my pocket and I've already got all I want.

Yeah, in ESO this is like <20$ and you can train it to carry more crap for you. Sometimes i just ride the cat around because I can.
    Horses are boring!!

@infernal young padawan, in time, you will learn to not ask for anything, not hope for anything, and not have expectations at all in this game.

then, you will be happy with a tan horse

When looking at mounts in various games I currently thinks how would it feel to ride it.

A gelatinous cube ? sitting in a pile of jelly that moves?
A whirlwind ? will quickly end up dizzy.
a rage drakes ? has to be careful when turning or that tail will knock things down.
A normal horse it seems you need to keep legs so separate you will probably be in pain later

A flying carpet seems to me to be the most comfortable mount in that game (neverwinter)

As for carrying stuff we had a pack animal stretch goal in the past.

Cool concept idea, but other than for over world travel why even focus on mounts?

They arnt needed for travel they have already said they would not be usable for combat. For a “new feature” I’d want something that has a actually use.

I think port should stick to thier lore. So thinks like bears, panthers, baby dragons seem doable when mounts do get in.

I cant see mounts being anything other than for looks. Youd have to give em +6 speed for folks to even want to use them. And considering you wont be able to use them indoors and in dungeons. This game in particular, because of changes made as a result of player feedback, a mount wont be that useful

    Gah. Fantasy mounts. Disgusting.
    But that's my opinion.
If it will sell good enough you will possibly get your wish (no negativity here, just a statment).
So try to gather some support.

Disclaimer: Ingame I will try to kill everybody i see on a fantasy mount.

Before you get rare mounts, common mounts must exist

This kinda goes back to the whole question of what is the mount going to do for us?
If you're going to have to wear a whistle on the neck slot and its not going to be REALLY fast, it probably wouldn't be anything but cosmetic/RP.
Consider mounting up, dismounting time, likely combat restrictions, and the general small size of most scenes and well, unless they're going to carry loot for you or increase your own carry weight they lack a certain functionality. In the absence of functionality, if you want to sell some things, they need pizazz! I don't think I'd want to see glowing rainbow flying fantasy creatures either, but riding animals that can be tamed (other than horse) would add some flair. I love the idea of flying carpets. We have rugs. We have magic. Not too much of a stretch! Maybe the satyrs know how to make them.

Ultima VII had a flying carpet big enough for your entire party.

that's the point of my post mounts well never get funded if they don't sell stuff people want to buy clearly $53k of $250k after 8 months means the reddish horse, tan horse, and barn are not going to get the job done.

I've heard a couple suggestions, for example, jousting mechanics, that could be used with mounts.

Perhaps... but that worries me that, like fishing, they'd spend resources/time on a niche one-note mechanic. Would that really be a draw for new players? Or could the resources be better spent?

It's fairly moot. They've always said mounts were going in. It's just a matter of time. Funding will only speed it up.

With TP scrolls, fleet flute, and dash, I get around the world just fine without a mount.

Only thing that would get me to fund it is if mounts could loot corpses and carry loot for me. Otherwise, I see no real need for them other than for looks of the exotic varieties.

And here we are at the crossroads where they could make a good decision. Apparently all hope is lost, and nothing is going to stop them making another mistake.

We are fools if we are throwing money at a portion of the game where, they have no clear stated vision, and most of us are shrugging our shoulders saying "I'm not even sure what the point would be".
