    Greetings Avatars!

Some notable changes in today's patch regarding in-game lot deed upgrades via crowns:
    • POT Square Footage Requirements: There has been a requirement reduction for City, Keep, Castle lots in POTs. See https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...to-place-city-keep-or-castles-in-pots.150839/
    • POT Deco Limits Doubled: Doubled the decoration item limit for all POTs so twice the number of decorations can now be placed.
    • Lot Deed Upgrades for Crowns changes:
      • Size Limits for Upgrades per Type (No PA Keep, Nor PA Castle): We recently added the ability to right click on a lot deed in your inventory in order to upgrade it with Crowns. Previously, any deed type could be upgraded all the way to Castle. Now, you can now longer upgrade to Tax Free Founder Keep or Castle, or Tax Free Keep or Castle. All other Keep/Castle types can still be upgraded to, including Tax Free Player Owned Town Keep, for example.
      • Deed Type Upgrading: Now, you can also upgrade your deed "type" for crowns. This means, for example, you can upgrade from a Taxable Player Owned Town Village Lot Deed to a Taxable Player Owned Town Water Village Lot Deed, adding the ability to claim a water lot. This was previously available in the Game Services store but can now be done directly with crowns. You can also upgrade from Taxable to Tax-Free deeds, with the exception that other types of deeds can not be upgraded to Founder deeds. Also, you can only upgrade types, not downgrade, so you can not go from a Tax Free deed to a Taxable deed, for example.

    • Upgrade Costs: Each lot deed has an associated Crowns of the Obsidians value. The total cost to upgrade from one deed to another is the difference in the crown value between deeds. The deeds below are also in "Category" order. Deeds from a lower category can be upgraded to a higher one, but not the other way around. This also excludes the Founder deed category which can not be upgraded to.
    • Player Owned Town Row Lot Deed (no trade) 9
    • Player Owned Town Village Lot Deed (no trade) 29
    • Player Owned Town Row Lot Deed 29
    • Player Owned Town Village Lot Deed 59
    • Player Owned Town Town Lot Deed 149
    • Player Owned Town City Lot Deed 399

This is important to note since the prices LOOK higher than they actually are. For example, upgrading from a Player Owned Town City Lot Deed to a Player Owned Town Keep Lot Deed is 600, NOT 999. And to upgrade from the Player Owned Town Keep Lot Deed to the Player Owned Town Castle Lot Deed is 1000, NOT 1999.

Just a note for those speed readers that read the first and last sentences only!

EDIT: I don't think the POT lot space reductions for larger lots was in this patch. My used/available never changed after I patched and I even picked the castle lot up and put it back down to see if that worked. Nope.

    @DarkStarr

Thank you so much to all of the Devs.

I just logged in to check out the deco limit for my town and my jaw dropped.

    Thank you so much!

As one of the more, um, vocal posters in the upgrade debate and doubting change would occur, I stand corrected.

I know this stuff is painful and annoying but thank you for looking into it and making a change to honor some long ago items. It goes a long way.

Big question since we are going to get 100 Cotos for each one are these going to go up 2 decimal points? If not everyone will have castles and keep in POTS almost immediatly

The prices will also go up by x100 when the COTO change happens and each splits into 100.

Is it now possible to upgrade a POT water lot deed to a tax free POT water lot deed?

ok so if i have a POT taxable village lot deed and i want to upgrade it to tax free POT village lot deed, i pay 189 cotos minus 59 cotos, or 140 cotos.
at YOUR rate of 6k per coto, thats 840k gold. at the going rate of 9300 per coto, thats 1302000 gold. THATS 7.1 YEARS of taxes.
what happened to the 2 years of taxes thing?
    soooooooo not worth it.
ok i just checked a village lot deed, PA. 160 cotos to upgrade to tax free village lot deed. 8.15 YEARS of taxes.
would help if you rethink it a bit.

@DarkStarr I appreciate you honoring your word on castle/keep deeds. :) Although I was in the end OK either way. ;)

Is there a requirement to lift up existing City/Keep/Castle lots to reclaim the space? After patch, my available square feet is still maxed out.

I'm not seeing the prices shown in your post. Looking at your numbers, it should be 79 to upgrade this village deed to a town deed, not 120. My row lot numbers also do not match what you've got posted up there.

Unfortunately not - I tried with mine. I guess maybe it was a special backer thing - so it's blocked?

Sorry about that! It looks like we missed something here, I'll work on the fix and get another patch out, probably tomorrow.

The lot deed upgrade system is a great addition to the game, thanks!

The double deco allocation will also be a boon for POTs to spruce up a bit more. Another welcome change.

It is good news. However what have been done/will be done to the Tax Free Founder Deeds that got upgraded to Tax Free Keep/Castle before the patch. Are we going to pretend those upgrades never happened or there are other solutions to those deeds?

If nothing is done for the upgraded TF Founder Keep/Castle deeds it just gives people a message that if you are rich / have access to a load of cotos you can make dream come true before issues getting addressed properly.
Of course with the newly created TF Founder Keep/Castle deeds floating around it is still technically not honoring the "exclusive" promise made back during Kickstarter era, even the upgrade options are no longer available as of today.
