Details: if you cancel out of the mirror with no changes, you don't get your cotos back.
Steps to Reproduce: say "magic" to vivian. say "yes". after loading into the mirror scene, hit cancel without changing anything. 499 cotos are now missing from your inventory.

by design. this is my old report. a dev did not give a seperate response, but only me or a mod could have changed the title to [by design] and it wasn't me.

 

hmm... is there a bad design reporting section of the forums....

 

There’s probably no function to check if any changes were made which could be tied to the cancel button.

 

it could be made clear in conversation that you're paying to access the mirror whether you make changes or not

 

or take the cotos (or not) when exiting the mirror instead of before entering it.

 

Yeah, there definitely could be some text. Even a simple:

The cost to use the mirror cannot be retuned, even if you make no changes.
