Details:
Updating the game client on Steam sometimes causes the following error:
"[URCHIN] Missing or corrupted installation files detected. Please re-install the game."
The URCHIN error appears when you try to login in the Online Mode.
(You are still able to play in the Offline Mode.)
The URCHIN error appears even when the game is passing the file integrity check on Steam.

The error triggered after I updated the game from 807 to 808 on Steam.
The error has triggered before after updating the game from 805 to 807 on Steam.

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Update the game client from 807 to 808 on Steam
2) Launch the game
3) Try to login in the Online Mode

You are currently the only player experiencing this issue. I see you are using Steam to install the game. I wonder if this might be a steam issue, or some local file corruption problem.

One thing to try: Use Steam uninstaller to remove the install. Before re-installing, check to see if the contents of the install directory are empty. (The folder location was provided in that previous post.) Re-install and see if that fixes the issue. If possible, avoid removing local settings in the registry or the Users folder.

 

The Urchin error just suddenly stopped reappearing and I can login normally again after a several hours break.
I didn't touch any SotA folder or any SotA files at all or remove or uninstall or reinstall anything.

EDIT: Updating from 808 to 809 on Steam did not trigger the Urchin error.
