Hats off to Atos and streaming!

I'm both really impressed and glad he is doing this. These streams seem to be of much more value than the stock Friday streams. Can we get some "props" and "cheers" for Atos on this!!!!

Definitely far better than the Friday streams I my opinion. They remind me of the sort of streams from long ago that really excited me about the project, like Pen of the Avatar.

Kudos to Atos. These streams have "humanized" the Dev!

 

I have only caught about 1.5 of them, but yes they have been really good. Friday's stream are filled with more announcements than fun stuff and interaction.

 

This is really great, Atos you are making a huge difference, playing seeing the bugs we encounter every day and fixing things on the fly and making notes of things that need work.

Not only that but answering players questions at the same time. Keep Up the great work this is truly amazing for any game.
@Chris We love what you are doing, don't stop.

 

Given how busy these guys are, especially Chris, it's great that he takes time to livestream and engage with the community on a regular basis.

And I miss Stephen and his Pen of the Avatar livestreams.

I don't get it, why is the Technical Director wasting the time with live streams?

 

Is that why he stopped having any interaction on the forums? How many tens of hours of video would I have to sit through to get some basic answers on various topics?

Give @Chris a chance to write his new blog. I guess he will pick up the most important topics of his streaming.

 

I've been enjoying Atos's streams too, but I'm not a fan of the adhoc releases without release notes and what appears to be no coordination with the rest of the team. Does any one know what was fixed or not fixed in the last release?

You should leave the paranoia for the raw forum. It doesn't suit you.

But yes, here I am, completely off base in my notions that they should improve, and not degrade, their communication with their community-driven game. It's fine if he wants to do streams, but it seems to be a pendulum swinging from two different extremes. If these videos were posted to his "daily" blog, that would at least been something other than completely dropping off the radar.

 

The situation with this game is f’d up, I’m not saying it isn’t. I’m just saying that I appreciate him sitting face to face with us and not hidden away. That is all.

I’m very critical of this game. A lot of people are pissed at me because of it too. But this was a good thing and I will say something is good when I like it, and I’ll call it **** when I don’t.

Give him some slack on this.
