Owl's Nest: Nestor the Dark Necromancer ... Books on table cannot be taken after killing him.

Blocker? can't take books AFTER Nestor and his army is killed
Details / Steps to Reproduce:

1. Before, Nestor was a bald dark-looking priest - now he looks like a merchant

2.
a) I took two books from the table: "The Chains of False Beliefs" and "A Valid Question".
b) I killed Nestor (so his guards, Skeleton and Kobold, attacked me).
c) After that I tried to take the books again - not possible anymore!
d) All other books on the table (of which I had not taken any before) I could take ...

@Paladin Michael, this is a universal change. each avatar cannot take each world object more than once, unless you reset the scene.

i've been assuming it was deliberate...

 

You are right, there are books, marked as quest items, which you just can take once, but those other books, like for the student's quest, are not marked as quest items.

I could take the books (one part of the student's quest, the other one not) a few times after it respawned. This is possible with all books who aren't marked as quest items.

It just wasn't possible after the NPC's were killed. So I assume they are connected to.
All other books and items on the table in the cave I could take again.

 

no, i mean everything, in every scene. items do respawn, but the same charachter cannot take them. it's a fairly recent change.

 

I tried and recognized I can take items two times from the same location.
