Ok, yeah, it's definitely an improvement now that I'm getting used to it. ;)

Oh, and the other *major* improvement... My xbow doesn't take a durability hit every 2 seconds. :p

You probably know already, speed is essential for archery. Some things I find useful:
    Swiftness, acrobatics (GM)
    Elven bowstring of speed
    Beserkers stance
    Potion of speed
    Dash

Ya bows get ripped apart from rapid fire and multi shot, a great way to preserve your gear is to get the preservation skills to at least 80, prefer 100, get the preservation blessing from Elysium mines and use a preservation pot.

And a savage belt of swiftness, the attack speed MW on gloves and the fleet flute. Now can only have 2 move buffs at once, so skip the dash cuz you need the zerker stance, and fleet flute no fizzle and move rate and attack speed.

Yeah, I do all of these (+75% preservation) and I was still getting destroyed on durability, it's ridic... *One* rapid fire, lost a point... If they're going to nerf charged shot (in a major way) at some point, then they need to fix the durability insanity at the same time.

Yes I totally agree, bows eat durability up REALLY insanely fast, Back when I was using bow with you know, wasted exp into bow skills LOL, fighting dragons with a feedback bow build, I was going through cotos and repair kits like mad.

Yes... I just did a UT run with this new build (which was awkward because my timing is all off, but it'll get smoother I'm sure...). I took 1 durability hit for the entire run, vs 8-9 normally (I'd drop a repair hammer on my bow every 30 seconds or so during the fights, which was distracting). So that's a massive improvement!

My new envy bow is now battle scarred haha...

I’m losing on average 1 pt of durability per dragon, and 1-2 per spider queen.

    (Not babies)

Edit: that’s with 100 preservation, COTO potion, and Elysium buff too.

I'm pretty sure that the damage your weapon takes is a small fraction of the damage that you inflict with it.

Which explains why I've never had to use a repair kit since 2016... I knew this would catch up to me...

Finally got a chance to watch some of that. While the crafter in me was in tears over all the lost producer XP from all those spider corpses, holy crap. Even without the crits, that was impressive. I need to get a programmable gaming mouse or something, since I suck at WASD.

Having a number pad on the side of your mouse is an absolute necessity for SotA.

I just have a normal cheapo mouse with normal cheapo keyboard, just need to map some keys so that your not having to move your hand from the wasd to hit 7 8 9 and 0. I used q e v and b and switched deck swap to n.

I'll have to disagree on this one with you, it is all about smart key-mapping, a Numberpad mouse is great, but for me it would be even less efficient. Go look at my combat deck guide on these forums to see how I have it set-up, allows for easy combos and easy stacking, all while keeping everything under control!

    In fact here :
WASD has been remapped to ESDF, (moved 1 key to the right)
Numbers 1 through 0 have been remapped, in order, to A-Q-W-R-T-G-1-2-3-4
Deck swap is remapped to V
This allows the use of more left hand fingers, and brings the left hand movement to a minimum. I can easily use 3 of my fingers to press key binds while my thumb hits spacebar and the remaining finger moves me forward or strafe to a side, depending on the environment and mob I am fighting.

I am surprised how many players use buffs & necklaces to increase their Adv. Level Number.
For lower Levels, it makes possible Yellow Targets appear Green, because the game assumes the player has the skills to back up the Adv. Level.

IMHO... Adv. Level is purely determined by the amount of hours you have spent in-game grinding XP.

If you have a very deep pool of unused XP or spent XP unwisely GM'ing every skill in the game to have 200 GM's, it really doesn't mean you are the best skilled player out there....

Well, it does add some HP/Focus, but yeah, it's pretty worthless. I didn't know that for a very, very long time and used to buff it.
