Ahh I see. Yeah that would be perfect for large group pvp fights and in @majoria70 example of a dragon invasion. Hopefully that is something they add soon, as it's a great idea that can be used by everyone (PVPers and PvEers)
Thanks for explaining it for me. :)

The lag is a perfect tool in these massive battles for Portalarium to measure latency like they do during dance parties. The biggest battle was New Heaven in January with approximately 100 players involved and it had lag issues yet the adrenaline rush was unreal as well as the turnout.

Ask anyone who was part of it if they had fun and the vast majority not only agreed but wanted more.
I think @Antrax Artek streamed the New Heaven Battle and @Chris both streamed and participated in the Battle of Dragomir part 2 during March. The last one in either late April/early May was hosted by @Spinok and I am sure we can have more if given what we need. R/Boris

It is mostly for PvP/RP though, where it is already happening, but with Friendly Fire as a side effect. It is true that a 24 manned group in a dungeon would be something, but who in their right mind would do that with the current content? The exp share and loot share would be way too low to actually enjoy it.

It could have been very useful during the Travian games/Portalarium supported battle of Aerie in October 2018. R/Boris

With all the doom and gloom posts from some people it is refreshing to read something that points out all the good things that have happened. This small team is going some great work with next to no budget so we need to ease up on them a bit.

I do remember. It was really fun imo in spite of that ;) That was quite a while ago. Hopefully the situation would be much improved by now and we should still get the ability to form raid groups. If someone has a low-end computer that may give frame-rate problems or slower internet in spite of the improvements.

I fully understand why Raid groups, "in theory", would be beneficial in PVP scenarios , to help prevent "friendly fire" etc.
AND I am NOT saying, that it shouldn't be implemented.
& I can see how @majoria70 would LOVE bigger groups to satisfy her Musical passion = Majorias "Dream Orchestra" could eventuate, due to less particle effects generated in a Musical situation.
But Majoria's Dream Musical scenario, isn't what many hope to eventuate from the possible implementation of "Raid-Groups".

I am just stating, that I cannot fathom how groups of 24 players (with another 24 players opposing) could deal with the Lag created by all of the particle effects from both spells coupled with "all names' being on.

I DO know in Tartarus, in the Zombie Wave Room, a group of 8 players, dealing with everyones spells & resultant particle effects...
AND having "all names" on, results in a LAG-fest for most of us & causes "crash to the desktop" for some group members. (depending on their PC specs = Ram/Video Card etc...)

    I am definitely NOT against....
I am just stating that not ALL players have PC's capable of participating in Raid Group situations, so I am finding it difficult to see this becoming a reality anytime soon....

Not because the Team, do not want it to happen, but purely due to the "cause & affect" issues right now.

I am more than happy to be proved wrong on this...
As I said, just my opinion, due to CURRENT 8 player group, full on particle effect scenario, against multiple MOB opponents.

    Very True...
I was a Newbie player back then & went to participate & take screenshots.
I had a low-end system then (min specs) & it was like a slide-show. (I have since upgraded)

Not everyone has decent PC's that can cope with Lag created by many players, particle effects & "all names" on, without lagging badly, or crashing...
    This is the reality.
    The Dream is Raid Groups...

    I 100% agree with You @Detrick
Even with a Compact Team, things are moving forward and each of Us are getting, at the very least, tid-bits of improvements to the way, that we each want to play!

Kudos to all of the Team, for all of their Hard Work and Dedication, in moving Shroud forward to Better Days!
Your hard work, does not go unnoticed!

No thanks on that one. A pre-game video to watch instead of learning the key lore in game? Show me the escape key as fast as you can.

That the game now starts with truly dull starter quests instead of an introduction to the Oracle, whose motives for you, the Avatar, are a heart of the story line, is really disappointing IMHO.

I confused Malice with Despise. Which is ironic really as I've published an in-game book about the dungeons! (That really needs a new edition soon :p)
