SoTA Launcher began download of today's (10-01-2020) update/patch...approx. minute later protection software shot off 5-6 rapid-fire "site blocked due to Trojan" warnings, then one saying 'something about compromised site...' then computer screen went to blue-screen-of-death, with message about 'bad spooler call', or words to that effect (it shut down too quickly for my old eyes to have time to read any more than the first sentence, but the rest of the screen was covered in more info I did not get to read.

Computer wanted to be restarted in 'safe mode' when I tried to restart.

Nothing else running when this happened. Nothing new added to the computer, other than the patch that the SoTA Launcher started to download when this occurred.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional...how would I find the crash report? (I presume there should be a log somewhere detailing what happened...but don't know)...I'm computer illiterate.

NOTE: Found 'mini-dump' file, but need 'debugging tools' or something along those lines (according to Microsoft site) to even open it...being as I'm clueless about what all of it would mean if I were to try to read it, I did not pursue it any further.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Why would a supposed 'false positive' from the protection software cause the computer to crash to the blue-screen and shut itself off as a safety?

You'd need to ask the Malwarebytes support group that.
