2 Handed Mace of Gaiaism ~ How does this COTO repair?

I tried the carpentry table, I place the COTO with the Mace in the window and... the repair button doesn't like up. What's up with that?

The Item: Bronze Two Handed Hammer of Gaiaism +16

    Video outdated? Changes, Restrictions?
I only have (1) in Carpentry Repair if that matters.

Did you place 1 or 100 cotos on your table? Don't forget that cotos went from 1$ to 0.01$ a while back! That video was made before the change!

*Whoops, Alley mentioned it was upped to 250! Even more!

"250 Coto"... That I did not know that...

I always did think 1 COTO was far too low,
and I do think 250 to be more reasonable :)

    Thanks!

Throughout the development of the game I have relied on the published player instructions as "the reference" for the game as it has always been accurate. Not anymore it seems as it still references 100 COTO's as the repair cost of artifacts

I doubt there will be much repairing going on at 250 anyway. When the inflow of repair cotos drops drastically, there will be an adjustment. That 's prolly why the instructions have not been updated. No use changing them twice. (tongue in cheek) and desperately hoping that the economics force the issue.

Thanks for pointing out this error. I'll make sure the player guide gets fixed. Issue #69253

Well, it was mentioned, in patch notes, umm can't recall off hand which it was, that coto repair cost was going to 250. IMHO, I know player guide is useful, but it's not always going to be current, with smaller changes. Best bet, always read patch notes, ie, player instructions. But, I agree, it was a rather big change, for those who coto repair, so might have needed an update. Regardless, you devs keep up the good work. I have seen more good, added/fixed in this game in the last 9 months or so, than I had seen in 4-5 years. Rambling off, take care and remember to always have fun.

Many items are still well worth a 250 coto repair in my opinion. If we take them at 300gp each, that's 75k gp to take a piece from completely trashed back to its full durability. So any piece worth 75k or more will be worth at least one major repair (before diminishing returns), unless the person is already looking for an upgrade.

The folks who do the most repairs are those who adventure the most. It stands to reason, more time fighting means more time losing durability, even with high preservation effectiveness across all slots. These tireless adventurers are also likely to upgrade artifacts, craft or buy high end gear, etc with their spoils. A full int stacked chest might cost several hundred k in gold. An epic fire ring is 150k-200k gp just for the blank rings to make it, let alone once it's well worked. A single rapid fire jewel is worth much, much more than a 250 coto repair fee.

I've done several major repairs since the change in cost was made, and would have done many more if I'd not re-spec'd and made new gear a couple times since. Different folks will go about it different ways, but I think many of us are still happy to spend the cotos to give a good piece a second (or third, or fourth...) life.
