Sorry, I don't know much of the online game worlds besides UO and this one.
I stuck to UO because of the free open world.
Only other MMO's I've tried are the two star wars games but that is it.
Neither of them seemed fun to me.

Hopefully I can post this thread as I did donate to developer level.
I'm still good with my donation since most of this team made the best game ever - UO.
But this game is not UO2 and the open world of UO will not be here.

I mean a open world where there is non consensual:
    PVP
    Thieving
    Trap Chests and the like
    Poisoning food
    Other crimes are welcome

Something with a criminal system would be best.
What I like best about non consensual killing is that players get flagged as criminals.
So I know when to run if these criminals come around.
And who or where the evil is to fight against.

    Other things I want are:
Able to place things anywhere on the ground
    Full loot on death
    Collision Detection
Area Effect spells effect everyone not just who your attacking.
Cannibalism - more the ability to cook the meat you skin, including humans
    Able to place houses anywhere
Crafting your house using tiles or blocks. UO/Minecraft
Digging tunnels and changing the landscape like in minecraft.
Teleporting creatures from one land to another.

Open meaning allowing things you see in the real world.
    Slavery, Genocide, Discrimination, Religion etc

The only things I don't like is the visual content like sex and gore.
Those things can be left out.

I don't care at all about a story in the game.
I'd rather just work from having nothing to getting vendors, houses, starting player cities, and working up from there.

The more skills the better and the best gear would come from crafting.
Playing UO vs SWTOR I liked grinding way more then getting skills from following a story.

So is there anything out there like UO?
I don't see myself enjoying this game from the direction they are headed.

This thread is not to argue about what this game has to offer, that has been done.
I just would like to find a new version of UO if that is possible.

Eve, Mortal Online, kinda Darkfall would be your best bets, currently.
Shadowbane is dead, Warhammer Online is dead.
DAoC has some of that, but not all of it.
even Everquest lets you flag open pvp everywhere, if you're inclined (Priest of Discord)
Vendetta Online permits pvp everywhere, iirc.
Allods permits non-con pvp after a certain level, and pvp is pretty much their entire end game/goal
Pathfinder Online is going to be anywhere non-con pvp (not sure when alpha/beta starts)

Your are never going to find another UO with the list you gave. If you want that full list in this game your probably better of looking for your Ultimate game elsewhere, but i cant see you ever being satisfied.

He does want to look elsewhere hence his question. If that game is out there I would like to check it out, too.

UO is still active and UO is probably the closest game to UO.

Vjek's suggestions seem solid. I might add Xsyon; it's an indie game I know from reputation only, but it seems to have much of what you want.

With that list you might also enjoy Rust, or even Minecraft, in a PvP server. They are not true MMOs, but if the freedom is more important than the large community for you those might be worth a try.

I believe there are other indie sandbox MMOs that have some of that, but apart from EVE you are unlikely to find anything with a large budget that has non-consensual PvP and player looting. Thieving is, AFAIK, even rarer.

I haven't paid much attention to the attempts to fund something of the kind in Kickstarter, but I believe the only successful MMO that fits part of that to be successfully funded recently in KickStarter was Pathfinder Online. Take care if you think about going for Pathfinder Online, though; it seems like the Pathfinder Online devs want to allow players to do anything but punish heavily players that engage too constantly in non-consensual PvP or looting, with such players potentially being permanently hunted by guards, refused service by most NPCs (including higher tier trainers), and having to potentially spend hundreds of gameplay hours to get back to not being considered criminals (if they reach the bottom of the reputation scale). Given that Pathfinder Online plans to handle skills in a way similar to EVE — which, I believe, means skill gains happen in real time, regardless of whether the player is logged or not, but only one character in each account may be increasing skills at a given time — making extra characters to avoid the bad reputation will greatly decrease progression speed for all the characters.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that. XL games makes it, Trion will produce a US version, in the past that has never worked well at all.
