I wonder if there's a chance the devs might implement a teleport scroll or spell to your house?
It would save a LOT of backwards and forwarding!

As opposed to just going /home?

The / commands are only for per alpha testing. They wont be in live. I think that is what the OP was referring to. I would hope to see some sort of mark recall spell with gate option. That should cover most teleports. /Summon party is damn sexy though. :)

Exactly, I would love to see a proper gateway appear that you walked through to travel back to your hjem.
Perhaps one that requires a tree as the catalyst?

I feel like if I walked through that I'd end up in The Secret World.

My favorite "/" so far is "/summonNAME". It immediately teleports whoever's name you typed in there to your location. In testing it with my dear friend Kirthag, we learned that the summoned have no choice in the matter. It's hilarous (and could be REALLY annoying). Be careful who you friend! ;)

I really want there to be summoning spells for parties/friends and recall spells at least to home and one or two major cities.

I assume the moongates (lunar rifts) will phase in and out in the real game and they will be all over the place, and sometimes might take you to exotic locations :)

You guys are correct. Commands are in for convenience during testing time. Some of the same type features will be in live but as spells with reagents and visual effects. Some, like summons, will have confirmations dialogs or interfaces. Just trying to make things as convenient as possible for now. :)

Whenever I've been a DM in D&D, I've often tried to use the summoning spells as ways to introduce player characters to new locations or events. It's always fun to have a powerful wizard "summon" player characters that are now bound and compelled to help the caster fight off another wizard or a monster. One time I had a group of 1st level players get summoned to fight a dragon. They were very upset, but it was great fun! They all survived, but not without thinking on their feet and having a lot of help from the spell caster that summoned them.

I'd like to see a spell or two that summoned random player characters (that accepted the challenge) in SOTA. The player characters would be rewarded in some way if they did a good job, and the duration would be limited, then they would be teleported back where they came from.

I loved the travel system in uo. Recall spells marking and rune books. Freaking cool and fun system also a great way to utilize the scribe ability.

/summonLord British?? It would almost be worth the three months your character spent as a badger.

Dev accounts can block summoning but I think he has to remember to set that flag and he has a long history of forgetting to set flags... :)

Maybe Lord British needs a constant personal assistant to make sure things like this are done for him...
