Hello, kind of freaked out by the latest update.

I want to focus on crafting in the game, because it should be a less-stressful path to take for an aging gamer who wants to play with his RL family. :)

...now, however, I am totally stressing out about it!!

There are currently 16 crafting tools available in the pledge store, both separately and in three different packages.

According to the latest update, one of them is being taken away forever in 5 days.

    Wait, what?

So here are some questions I would love answered before the Cubit Measure is gone forever:

    1. Is this going to happen to all the tools, one by one?

    2. Is the Cubit Measure going to remain in the "6 More Pack" after the individual tool is removed from the store? It doesn't look like it, according to this screen shot I just took from the store page:

    3. Are the "packs" ever going to go on sale? I would like to pick up ALL the tools (no idea what kind of crafting I will end up doing yet, and it hasn't been very great in the pre-alpha builds I've played, so kinda waiting on the finished product to decide that).

I don't mean to sound alarmed, but, well, I'm alarmed! :p

What's going on here, and what should I do?

Thanks for any insight / advice.

Yeah I can't figure it out either. Perhaps just streamlining their add-on item proposition? Less items to track / maintain.

If the item was going to become rare then I'd grab, if not then not so fussed. We all know rares = free money.

Yeah I'm gonna have to buy the packs. If they're smart they'll single out a tool from a different pack each time so people feel compelled to buy the pack. Worked on me!

Actually I've been eyeing those packs for a while and bought all three today, especially with Black Friday 15% bonus happening. Having a full set of indestructible tools will be nice.

It makes sense that the store is starting a 'rotation'. nothing in the store was supposed to be permanent.

Suddenly, everything in the store feels more valuable, with the knowledge that perhaps none of what is currently in will be available at game launch! crazy! ;D

Yep, that's exactly what they're doing. Plus, I'm sure they have the metrics behind individual sales per tool to help fine-tune this strategy. I'm surprised they don't offer more digital bundles as that is a proven method to drive sales.

If they offer them 1 at a time at $8. That's $48 as they go away rather than $50 for a pack, right? Makes sense to wait on each one?

Whew save a whole $2 on 6 that way...

The indestructible crafting tools in the pledge rewards are different from the tools of prosperity, right?

Can both sets be upgraded? Wasn't really paying attention there. :)

I always assumed the indestructible tools in the pledge rewards WERE tools of prosperity. Although not 100% sure. Pretty easy for the devs to clarify this, or someone who has a high-level pledge with a tool in it?

Yes they are different the prosperity tools for instants have a bonus in that they often do things like increase quantity and quality of items harvested or crafted, in addition they come at an expert level rank if I'm not mistaken.
The indestructible tools on the other hand are just tools that are indestructible and don't offer this benefit though they can be upgraded in game according to Starr. I've not heard if the prosperity tools can be upgraded in game though if they can then I would consider purchasing them.

The prosperity tools are considered expert level, they are not upgradable, the Indestructible ones are considered starter level and up gradable

So the indestructible starter tools could perhaps be upgraded to a level better than the prosperity tools?

Guessing no one knows but wouldn't surprise me.

This and the crafting stations where some of the big reasons I originally upgraded to LM the reward is crazy good in particular if you receive the founder bonus.
There is plenty of time left to upgrade yet and there are always payment plans so you have plenty of time to get funds together if you want to pick it up.

The LM Home is also huge and comes with one hell of a view up top.
