We need more high level content like this. Try it in a group, don't think that dragon can be soloed.

Oh, I agree, it needs a lot of care and tactical savory - and for this I'm glad. And I can always count on great friends and guildmates to tackle it.

But still, between the nightmares of Lord Darkmoon piercing my ear with "won't somebody please think of the children single player", and the desire to improve my performance, hone my skill, try new approaches, etc. I'm still stubbornly trying to explore it fully - with frequent visits at the local ankhs. I'm not complaining it's hard. I'm complaining I didn't grind nearly enough to be a tiny bit safer in my challenges. :D

That does worry me, because if they dont create two different sets of creatures this game will tank harder than green lantern did in the movies.

An MMO that can be soloed? That would be pointless. How does someone plan to solo the three dragons of Grumvald? The game would have to allow you to group NPC companions.

If the devs truly do make the MMO portion of this game soloable it will tank and swept under the rug with the thousands of failed mmos.

So careful what you wish for because you may just get it.

Remember single player will allow companions.. but multi-player obviously won't.

So, some content in Single Player Online will NOT be vanquishable, no matter what?

For me it's ok, but I can already name the posters who will start complaining below this message...

I know of someone in my guild who has killed the 3 Grumvald dragons solo. One at a time of course, but still, it has been done. :D

    {NO --- IT WAS NOT ME}

When a game is designed in a way that players can infinitely improve their avatars without a max level ceiling... it's inevitable that almost every "boss" encounter can eventually be done solo.

Not soloable. If you can solo it please report it to @Chris as a bug. ;)

We will have companions available for single player offline, but by definition they won't be as smart/effective as human beings. And yes there will be OPTIONAL content such as this that is not solo-player-friendly.

    So I ask.

The Single Player ONLINE will have features that won't be vanquishable no matter what?

Or anything, in every mode, can be beaten by a single, very determined player?

Edit: it seems I have my answer by the above message - thanks Lum. Bracing for the SP fans poopstorm.

Any scenes that currently require groups to play when in FPO or OPO, I believe the intent is to offer companions of some sort (or perhaps even The Companions), to join your party to assist.

If those scenes can currently be done solo, then I'd agree that they need to be rebalanced. That is not to say there won't be any extremely difficult scenes where a highly skilled solo player can complete on their own (as compared to the expected average experience group play). I'm only referring to any scenes that require groups by design.

That said, I'd like to see variations of this group play by design such that it's not all about ever-increasing levels of difficulty, but multiplayer strategies that require different builds to complete, puzzle solving, simultaneous multiplayer interaction of MOBs or objects, etc. Make it interesting and fun, not just hard.

They're adding 3 NPC companions (one for every virtue) for the single-player offline mode.

I don't mind group oriented only areas in an mmo as long as loot is distributed fairly among each person in the group (actual loot as well as coinage).
