    That's true, but it's the first step we need to take. There are other more complicated and longer-to-develop options as well we're considering.

    Well, I think grinding bosses is bit stupid anyway, they should be the NPCs not any NPC. They should be bothered with in epic quests. Not as a way to grind xp in order to grind on them so fast you have to switch between modes to get even more xp:)

    Agreed grinding bosses is the wrong approach diablo figured this out in d2 and now have a model where playing the game is the reward not the bosses. Now having the bosses having A higher chance to drop a crafting mat isnt a bad idea.

    I would enjoy special crafting mats droped from bosses.
    Things to make armor/weapons and trophies to put in your house.

    I would suggest creating a [R]are class of items that you can only possess one of on any character.

    Hard capped item possession sounds inappropriate for a sandbox game imo.

    But owning 10 heads of the same boss monster is ok and even semi realistic?
    Theyve done some work towards this with the quest bosses that you can only get the item if you actualy have the quest. Now if you wanted to go trade/sell a boss item then go get again you certainly could and should be able to, but you couldnt just hang out and farm 20 of them.

    Well sure... I can't count the number of my skulls that were floating around a few releases ago and that was with very minimal PvP. If people can have lots of my skulls why not have lots of monster heads? 8^p

    I can understand quests controlling interactions (and that indirectly creating limits), but per account loot as the solution to boss loot seems like a bad system to me.

    Cuz you can sell the monsters, no offense not sure how much player skulls would actualy go for that arnt, LB/DS?ext.
    And farming boss items would water down and make it lame as poop.

    Thats all people would do, farm the bosses over and over. They should be an accomplishment not a treadmill.

    I could see that being a distinct issue. Would making the drop rate MUCH higher if you have actually beat the quest once (based on journal entry) resolve the concern?

    Im not talking about every item in the game.

    Simply the crafting materials you could get from bosses that could make elite gear/deco

    Not that you can only get it once, but that you can only have 1 of those items on you at one time.

    Obviously the system would need some checks balances, but i feel a system like this would be quite nice.

    Gotcha. I say just give it half the drop chance that the beetle carapace does and no one will ever see it. 8^)

    But, any system we put in place would definitely have a way to get exploited eventually. It requires constant work on the sides of the devs to kill them when they appear (exploits, not the exploited or exploiters... although....)

    Im not a fan of low % drops on things only availible in one location (bosses) this leads to major camping. its fine fore rare havestables which are abundant everywhere. Rare item system works much better and is more rewarding than a lottery.

    Well the Corpion needs a lot of fixes:

    You could, for example, increase the walking speed of the Corpion.
    Now this won't prevent anything, but atleast you can't kite it anymore so easy.
    Because currently you don't even need any form of slow or root spell to kite it.

    Another thing is the pathing, the coprion likes to get stuck on all theese obstacles arround its spawnpoint (mostly on those huge dragon ribs).

    And it would be great if the Corpion would shoot its green s... more often :p
    Currently the corpion only seems to shoot its green stuff as soon it has no path to reach you (then it is shooting non stop).

    I understand where you are coming from, but to me that still feels like applying a themepark solution to a sandbox game. It might be a good solution for some problem but still changes the dynamic .

    Camping is an active choice in a sandbox game. I'm not saying it should be incentivised, but designing a large amount of the nonquest content to be effectively nonrepeatable is anti-sandbox.

    Designing incentives for specifically not camping content seems more the proper spirit of addressing that problem to me.

    More Dungeons like "The Rise" would be great.
    Also atleast 1 or 2 for lower leveled characters.

    This will only lead to people camping bosses even more than they are now. And there is Obsidian crown aleready.
