Will there be a map with all the lots we have available to us?

Will there be a map with all the lots we have available to us to see online before we log in on placement day? I haven't played much so I wont know where all the villages are at that I'm able to place my house. However, a map would be beneficial.

This is about it for lot locations inside of NPC and PRT towns and villages. Just search for the Town or village and click on "location map". You will still need to be running by and checking which are still available up until your group is called.

 

sotamap.com shows maps of pretty much every town, however, it wont (reliably) show you what is available - I think the idea is to go out and explore!

 

Yah as I stated above , he would still need to be running around to see what is available until his group is called. But it will show him where every lot is located

 

And sotamap still has the clones for several cities, so make sure you realize that when checking.

 

Unfortunately, sotamap is missing the latest round of PRTs.

 

The simple answer is NO.

You can go to a town crier and they will tell you avail or not but not a map with locations - sorry.

How about a complete list of all PRT's with rough locations? (east of Ardoris, North of Brittany, etc)

Normally on the player resource forum, there will be people who share the lot availability from town criers. This is probably as good as we can get at the moment.

 

OK. So on UO, we had a player tool that would find all the stuff for sale on vendors across the land. You could search for the item you wanted and get the prices and vendor locations. How was this done? Seems that listing housing plot vacancies across the land would be much easier to do than the immense item listing was in UO.

None of the items you list were developed until long after UO was completed and launched.

 

Nope. It's missing more than half of the last PRT update, and who knows how many others. A great resource, but not up to date, and is not a complete list of what's available in any case.
Portalarium needs to publish an official list. 55% of the lots will be outside NPC housing scenes. That's over 3500 lot selecting customers that will need that information throughout the duration of the Land Rush.

 

If you have time I believe (someone may correct me on this) that the current PRTs in game are the final quantity as we go into persistence, even though a number of them are still under construction and won't be finished until afterwards.

Should you have the time before final wipe I highly recommend just logging in and wandering the land to check them out, then try to decide where you want to place your house.

Also Sotamap.com is an amazing resource but it's also a side project by one person so please be forgiving to them if it's not up to date!

 

You are right, but kids today use cell phones which were not developed until I was in my late 50's. I was asking about a tool that exists and questioning whether it can be used here..

In addition, if you use this resource all the time (like I do) consider making a voluntary donation to the site to help keep it running.

 

Dont forget when you enter a village/town to hold down the P key to see what lots are vacant, You can see them columns of smoke quite far away.

 

There will be no more PRTs in episode 1.
