Patch 451 new hairstyle - Changed Hair Update

Whoa. So I have to re-roll a character I've already spent a lot of time on, or pay real money because the hair wasn't right after 32 releases? Seriously?

Solution is to either fix the hair or make it free to change, not leave the players holding the bag.

 

I agree with budner here. Seriously, re-roll or pay for a technical glitch?

Server mistake, please fix it. If the character hair will revert to what it originally was when this is fixed, i'm fine with that. Otherwise, you should make the New You vendors free until the problem is resolved.

It seems the male hair got switched to what it should have been from the start? But people who choose female short hair and got a ponytail instead still have that ponytail after the 451 patch.; no switch.

 

Is anything going to be done for the players who are stuck with this problem? like a once off free hair change? seems unfair to now be stuck looking like.... <insert> please help us. I didnt pick to look like this, actually spent time picking how I would look.

 

@Attenwood In the next patch I think a one time free run at the New Vendor look for everybody will make everybody happy.

this may not mean much to the producers of this game - im sure much deeper aspects are more important to you all - but srsly, the haircuts are already really bad, and pageboy is the worst! it does make me sad, im trying to think of some kind of way to RP it, like bandits caught me on the roadside and tormented me by cutting my awesome and badass hair down to this "friar tuck" style

Its a big deal if this works like a "court ruling" and becomes the norm for such mistakes. I can deal with it this time, but I feel like all "pageboy" haircut sufferers should be awarded 5 crowns in the add on store.

After some gentle discussion here in our offices, we have been made aware of the scope of the issue and agree that expecting our backers to either restart or spend their COTOs for a solution is not acceptable.

For anyone that experienced hair difficulties as part of the fallout for our fix, please submit a ticket to support@portalarium.com requesting us to fix it for you. We will be able to manually adjust your hair case-by-case.

Please be sure to let us know your character's name, and which hairstyle/color you would like it to be.

We will process this free of charge. For those that already spent COTOs to do this, we will reimburse you similarly through a support ticket.

I'm the opposite. On the Isle of Storms opening scene, I chose my favourite blunt cut hair from the way it looked - (cut by sword, conan-style lol). I noticed the name was wrong, but assumed it was misnamed - however, I guess the reality was it had the wrong model attached 'cause since a patch or so ago, I suddenly now have long luxurious braids lol.

i hate it, but they seem to be magical braids which grow back instantly no matter how many time I cut them. please return my blunt cut. wahhh!

I chose the page boy cut because it looked like braids on the mirror. Character name Joe.
edit: Oops, I submitted a ticket after I saw the post above.

 

@Attenwood Just logged in, patch 455 and my Ponytail has been changed to the Short style. When I created my character, I took care to choose the style labeled "Ponytail" even though both "Short" and "Ponytail" only visually showed the Ponytail.

454 me (smaller image) vs. 455 me.

 

@Attenwood I also had chosen braids (two) and now I have a page cut.
