R32 Land Rush status

Thanks so much for the replies, it helps a ton. Is there a place that shows what is available? I'm trying to find a town lot on water and just going to city and city and never finding anything. How do you know even where to look at this point?

 

There is the OP on page one of this thread but in practice it is a LOT of running around to see what is actually available.

Today is the big day for town lots on and off water, the first town-only 27 backers in an hour and a half, then 270 backers in six and a half hours. (I am up in six and a half hours). I am assuming anyone in round 30 paid a dollar to get to round 29.

I have no idea where to go, and even if I did there will be plenty of disappointment as people mash keyboards and crash clients. I wonder what it will look like in Brittany! Can someone record the spectacle?

To add to the above post.

Press and hold "P" in a town and lots unclaimed will stream columns of smoke.

Also the town cryers not only have a list of lots, there a compass button to point you to one you choose.

 

I get to claim my first lot today!

I'll be using my smaller deed first, and claiming a Village lot.

(It'll be in my POT though. So I can set up services for my residents. I won't claim my own residential lot until Group 91, but that will also be in my POT)

 

Calling other humans cockroaches .. well .. tells me a bunch about your attitude towards other players. Thx.

 

If I was desperate for a lot that was already claimed, I would check it at the opening of every land rush window. Especially if the lot owner doesn't have a proper name.

Those gaming the system will abandon higher level deeds right before a window opens to claim a smaller lot, then transfer it to a Lower pledge account before reclaiming the bigger lot.

 

There's going to be a lot of ecstatic people today and a lot of disappointed ones. Today's one of the bigger land rush days.

I feel like I have a pretty good backup for my primary though! Unfortunately I only have 10 minutes to choose so not a lot of time to run around!

I was not referring to honerable players but certain individuals who shall we say are not here to play the game. However thank you for your heart felt words. I do love a man who says what he wants to say.

 

Got my second-ish choice, Extremely happy my lot in the wonderful mining town of Etceter! Not the most central location, but great for mining, grinding, trade, and the taming community! woot!!!

The Coat of Arms for the town is lovely too!

 

I'm truly torn. I'm in the current calm-before-the-storm window.

I've got a Town deed and am eyeing a handful of beautiful-view, albeit zero-traffic, spots in Spite.

OTOH, I've also got a village deed, and those vendor-strip-mall spots in Brittany Fields near the entrance are undeniably economically smart.

And on the third hand? There are still cool town spots in BF, a lot of them, including some that are unique (like the one that currently has a druid treehouse on it).

Heart (get your dream house, to the extent it's still available) and brain (get your business spot in a hot NPC town now, pick a quiet forest in a PRT later for your house to live in) are fighting. Hard.

It's a metaphor for the metastory.

 

A huge thanks to everyone that is helping out with updating the spreadsheet. I was only able to do a minor update of about 20 towns late last night and the total claimed was 239 (NPC) + 5 (PRT) at the time. This morning, it's at 274 (NPC) + 6 (PRT), so there's definitely been a lot of updates from the community. Just remember to update the Time column, as I've noticed sometimes that doesn't get updated also when reviewing the Revision history.

I should be able to do a more complete update later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks and good luck everyone!
