Historical Armour is where it all started. That would a Great point to create and then if you want design it to your liking.

I like the time frame. However, most pictures of armor that I've seen here on the forums are either European or of a fantasy nature. I'm wondering what people would think of armor from around the 15th century but not from Europe. Do the following examples have a place in SotA?

The 3 suits of armour are good pics. My favorite is the suite in the middle of the 2. I am not sure how the funny looking armour to the right got into this pic.

I can envision the gold platemail's etchings replaced with ankh's throughout and a blue like Ultima 7/Pagan glow on all above items:p

    Yes it does look great!
BUT the female armor does have to have boobs, sorry to say it but it does.
Exploitive, sexist, sophomoric- whatever you want to call it but if the females do not look extra hot in their armor then the game will suffer.

In the one picture that has a female in it, it is the only one that makes sure you can tell it is a female in the armor. Why does she not have a helm on? Why is she in a pose and not a stance? Why is there no weapon in the picture?

Suffer? LOL. You are a very funny person. Games do suffer when the designers make a game for themselves not for the people. Richard Garriott is a great historical man. Making games for him should be made like he did for the people. Don't ruin the game for him. He needs better designers that can draw people and armour that looks good. Don't ruin a good game because you want things your way. Think of the people. It's the people your making happy not you,you,you.........................For The people......................For Richard Garriott..............

Theehee nice troll. Anyway if we look UO or other ultimas, I dont recall seeing much of the mentality "less is beter armor class". Im sure people that are after good story, deep content and generally awesome game/rpg do NOT come for the boobs or view female armor(less) as content. Im sure there is gamer growd for that too but they normally arent playing games with content or games that require some effort or *gasp* thinking but rather only contain visuals - and thats big difference.

I as a woman can say that I prefer realistic armor and don't care about looking sexy when going into a battle.

There will certainly be enough articles of clothing in the game for females that want to look attractive in other instances.

Excellent example of a war-hammer in one of those first pics - I would love to see that in game.
