    01998: The Freeborn Press

    1998 was the year of foundation of this press entity in UO's Baja shard, physically based out of some of the very first player towns: Lumaria + later... Avalon. It was most often a news source that I ran daily for about 3 or so years, later being revived by a creative individual in 2010 for a bit of a spirited run (w/ office in Britain). I thought it would be fitting to carry over the name here for any of my in-game writings.

    Great idea! Anyone can use the NBBN as they wish, there is no control over it except this one thread to reserve the numbers. Hopefully this indexing system will make identification easier as the number of player creations continues to rise....

    As soon as the option for a second character activates that character will be running a small modest local library at Breakers Landing . Very happy to see that I'm not the only one with literary aspirations :)

    If this effort ties in with some sort of scholar/librarian guild then I'd be vety happy to help out in any way i can.

    In regards to these things, it is still early days. Nothing has taken off just yet... keep contributing and stay tuned... when you get to the bookshop - happy to share the experience I've gleaned from working with it over the last two releases.
