Yay, my Dock & Bridge Lights are functioning again in my POT! :)

The flickering of the Wall Torches is much less annoying (thank you).

Seeing the Scene Level indicators (Skulls on poles) on the Overworld map is nice, so I don't have to go inside to check anymore.

Like the animation for breaking crates: Kicking it; and I do not keep weapons unsheathed afterwards (+1).
Same for breaking open gates...better than hacking at it with wpn (imo).

Textures/graphics seem even more life-like in a lot of cases (example below--good-looking wood textures, sorry for the light-spell but it was dark and I was too lazy to wait for day-light)

Lots more, but these are just a few off top of my head. Anyone else feel free to add some things you're liking in R-34?

Being able to have an Oracle infirmary in your own POT is really a good reason to upgrade POT for more npc buildings.

    :(

For comparison, here's what it looks like in R33:

WOW this is the best were getting.

Lets suspend R34 for a month, since it looks to be very incomplete.

Hey now you'll have something to look at while not playing the game in fear of skill degen, or whilst waiting on focus regen!

Skill decay isn't a problem unless you die all the time. Just stop dying so much. Play more cautiously. My characters hasn't died for weeks now. Decay also won't apply to PvP deaths.

Health and focus regen will be set at 75% of the current R33 health and focus regeneration rate as stated by Chris in another thread. Right now on the QA server, it is not at 75%. Hence why it seems so slow. The food in R34 will be enough to raise your health and focus regen back up to about the rate it's currently at in R33. Eventually that 75% will be reduced further though when higher tier foods are released.

    Better graphics and better performance.

Skulls on the overland map - thanks

Didn't know this- will definitely try PvP now :)

It was mentioned by Chris in another thread. I'm not sure if it's been applied on QA, but he said PvP and Dueling deaths will not have decay once R34 hits live.

    Edit:
Here are the quotes by Chris I was talking about in my other reply.

Getting back on subject... I like that they got rid of the bubbles on weapons power up. I'm also a lot happier with performance in the later patches to QA. When we first got access I could barely move and now it's back to playable.

You are 7 patches behind in that QA screen shot, I'd be curious as to what it looks like now since the lighting was an across the board issue due to Unity update.

It hasn't changed. Looks exactly the same in build 400.

As bad as that looks, if it means they finally turned off the hundreds/thousands of dynamic lights and started to use pre-baked lighting, I'm 100% behind the change.
The framerate in this game will never approach normal with the way they're abusing the engine, currently, in R33.

The framerate on QA is no better than R33. It may even be a little worse.

Well that's ominous. Why upgrade versions at all if there's no performance gain? o_O

I am not noticing frame rate as much now since I have an SSD now but in the past frame rate would start out lower at the beginning of a release and get tweaked as the team sees what problems people are having. This is always the way they can adjust it, not out of thin air. So here's to hoping everyone who is having poor frame rate finds their answers. ;)

My framerates were significantly worse, even when reducing my settings to fastest.

There are many, many reasons to update a framework. You dont just update a framework and get magical performance gains.

Unfortunately this is now opposite of the linux experience :*-(

Though yes when I play on Windows 7 the graphics are way cooler, and the game engine's geneeral responsiveness is way better. On linux, I cant really even walk around my NPC town or interact with certain NPCs in certain buildings as the game is so slow it cant register double clicks or interact with an NPC before they walk away. I get like 5fps (I dont know exactly, that number is hyperbole).

On the other hand, Im loving the food implementations! Cant wait to see how cooking and food evolves!!

I was just looking around my house, enjoying how nice it looks, because tomorrow it'll look like crap. :(
