You should still be able to use Potions in combat, they simply need to be part of your combat deck, as in the past.

Interesting you can use potions from inventory, I was unaware of that... I was simply using the functionality to eat food.

That was in reference to placing food in your combat deck. Food is only consumable in non-combat mode now.

If you want to use Potions in combat, you still need to add them to your deck just as always. :)

I still think potions should be consumable from the inventory while in combat and stop having consumables in the deck entirely.

I just don't know how they would add a cooldown if that were the case.

They aren't all that great in effect, though. You think they need a cooldown? Even the immortality fruit, it's decently rare so you can't really have that many of it to gobble down at once anyway.

It's quite an artificial limit on something you should just be able to eat as you like. If anything, make it so you get slightly sick if you eat too many within too short a time.

Witcher 2 had a pretty slick system. Potions had a toxicity rating and drinking too many in a short time would cause side effects. SotA could combine that with food that reduces toxicity faster and skills to increase tolerance and you might have a decent system.

They are implementing side-effects on some of the magical food. :)
