Well, seeing as there is no monthly fee to play the game but still costs like servers and employees, those costs have to be covered somehow. I am totally with you that dedication should be rewarded but I do think the add-on-store items have to be a certain level of "attractive"/"interesting" for this to work as intended.

Still, tastes differ. The fireplaces craft able in game are a nice example, I'm totally content with the ones available to me via crafting :3

No plans for that. Since it's a sold item, people who paid money for it would probably be upset if we ever did that :).

    Yeah, opinions are like that.

I love the new fireplaces, ruins and burnt houses. I had them made and think they are steps in a positive direction.

While for the crafted vs. blue store variant tussle in this thread, I prefer the blue one over the crafted as it is one of my favourite shades, and has a more prominent balcony.

Sigh... hate to be negative, but that's kind of what's wrong with this game. Anyway, thanks for taking the trouble to reply.

You can just barely fit a streetlight under the overhang, but you only get to put one light in the front "yard" of a row house anyhow. With the bump-in-the-middle floor plan, you couldn't light both sides of the bump. The streetlight in front of mine was placed to light up the dark side of a neighbor's bump.

The Kobold 3 story house probably has the best layout of all the row houses. You can even fit 2 planter pots in front. It also avoids the bump in the middle problem of the blue tiled row house which you nicely pointed out.

With all that metal in the structure though I shudder to think how many ores you'd need (on top of the wood requirements) to craft it if that were an option. You'd also need a high level of crafting skill in both carpentry & blacksmithing to boot.

Well, not really a "porch" but a 4 story shingle roof row house has a wee sized platform to stand on... just enough room to turn around and go back inside. Per sotacraft.com its 200 timber and 50 granite to make. I've not made my own; but, been in some in R31 with the porch.

The OP said they made this house and I see it on the various crafting sites... so I'm "100% pretty sure" it is doable!
