Too simple to lose tamed pets

    1) Get sucked into an encounter
    2) Fight -- pet dies
    3) after clearing mobs, and waiting for res timer to finish
    4) Attempt to res, run out of components
    5) Now you're screwed. Necklace at this point says it still has the pet. Necklace does *not* indicate pet needs to be resurrected.
    6) Cannot summon pet, cannot resurrect due to running out of components
    7) Leave encounter
    8) Necklace is no longer associated with a pet

    This belongs in the feedback section, @Mishikal. The pet skills are working as intended, so this is not something I can submit.

    The res timer is the time remaining to revive your pet, though, not a timer you have to wait out before you can try. Unless you mean your own ankh timer?

    Aside from what Margaritte points out, there is also any number of ways to avoid losing your pets:
    1. Make sure you have enough reagents.
    2. Dismiss your pet before it dies.
    3. Heal your pet during combat
    I actually have the back button on my mouse mapped to "dismiss pet" (which you can do on the controls menu) specifically to deal with the case where it's likely to die. Between those ways to keep your pet alive, I think what's provided is adequate, it shouldn't be impossible to lose a pet.

    Oh, it's time to RES?! Then why does the necklace continue to report it is necklace is bound to the pet after the timer expires? I thought it was the time /until/ I could res. :(

    The necklace is bound to the pet still, for the duration of the timer. As I understand it, even if you leave the scene, as long as that timer has not run out, you can flee to safety and still resurrect the creature, but only with the taming skill specific to pets. I do not know why it still reflects that after the pet cannot be saved. THAT you might be able to report as a bug :D
