Where would I find them? It didn't crash the computer, just shroud.

They would be files in the folder where the Shroud application resides, in a subfolder named with datetimestamp like 2016-10-27_174918 (e.g. like output_log.txt, error.lod and crash.dmp)

...or if you haven't restarted the application yet after the crash, output_log.txt is also in the subfolder named: Shroud of the Avatar_Data

I think it got wiped out with the next update, I don't have any such subfolders. I'll know for the future though!

Crashed again, standard Windows "This application has stopped responding" circle blue wheel.

This time I was standing by the vendor, but wasn't browsing him. Owls Head again. MP, someone else was nearby. I had been standing there for at least 10 minutes without moving, as the reason I came was to find out prices for mats and put them into a spreadsheet.

No time stamped forlders in my Steam Sota directory. I'm going to do other things this evening, so if there is another directory I should look in let me know and I'll try to remember to look at this thread before starting tomorrow.

Again today, browsing Owls Head vendor again.

The program Shroud of the Avatar.exe version 5.4.1.40364 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

And still no shroud log files/directories in the Steamapps -> Sota directory.

    Thanks for bearing with us!

From the data above, it looks like the application is in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\SotA

You should (hopefully) see a subfolder there with a name like 2016-10-28-16_163720 or similar. Within there are the crash reports.
so the whole path would be something like
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\SotA\2016-10-28-16_163720\output_log.txt and
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\SotA\2016-10-28-16_163720\error.log

If you are able to find these, you can email them to Attenwood at: rromero@portalarium.com for further review of what might be occurring. Please include a link to this thread so he knows which issue they are about. Thanks!

Never could find any log files although I looked in those directories. This doesn't seem to be happening since the update this morning, though. Important to note that it stopped happening BEFORE I updated, but the update was already out.

Under certain "hard" crashes, the crash folder may not be created. In this case, the best way to track down the issue is to retrieve the output_log.txt from the Shroud of the Avatar_Data subfolder in the application directory immediately after the crash (e.g. before restarting or reinstalling the game). Glad this problem seems to have gone away.

Owl's Head is a pretty populated scene. Do you think it might be tied to the known issue of players crashing/disconnecting due to high volume of network logging caused by /playing abc music files? It would affect anyone in the vicinity of someone playing an instrument. This might be why the crash seemed to come and go at random?

We have a fix planned for that particular issue with patch 501. Please let us know if crashing events continue, and provide details as to what might be causing them from your experience.
