I rarely come here, on QA, because i dont know what to do .....
@Berek , can you ask the devs what they want us to do or test or focus on ?

I don't bother even loading QA until DarkStarr's "Release Instructions" post is released: At least that provides some sort of direction.

Honestly, this has been a serious deficiency in the manner QA is handled since its inception.

Sigh, one of these days... :)

Guys, we can't do patch notes because we're busy working on the stuff you want notes on. I'm sorry but that's what you get as part of a super-early preview. I try to pop in and note what is and isn't in for what the story/quest team works on but there's very little that's visible right now (for example we put in some anti-cheating mechanics for quest turn-ins).

Yep, and that's what I do once it reaches Live.

I simply do not have the free-time nor patience to blindly stab in the darkness looking for potential differences in a game getting larger by the month.

By the sounds of it though, QA appears to receive an sufficiently large enough audience regardless.

Cool, I'll simply wait until Live then... No bother to me. :)

Errrr, i didnt ask any patch notes, im just asking what we (the player - testers) should test on QA server.
For exemple, theres no point on testing decoration when there is no change in decoration...

So basically what we would like to see is a "take a look at A, B, C, and D" sort of guidance until the release notes are ready. No details, just some big new stuff, like maybe the names of a city or two that got un-cloned.

You can also look into things that you found screwy in live but not enough to figure out what they were, or to see if they are fixed. (such as not being able to put virtue books into the bank)

And yes, just playing can uncover stuff. Go around and fight a bit... hey we've got more sounds now, etc. My plan is to try to put in a good hour a day for at least four days, and we get at least twice that many days of QA. That way you don't burn yourself out, and you get a little bit of time on more than one patch. Yesterday was my first QA this release, and just as I was exiting, I found something that might be related to a problem I had a few weeks ago, that I didn't know what caused it.
