Would you be able to try and reproduce this issue? We're not seeing this internally, and there's not enough information for us to make a concrete report for further investigation.

I do try:) I have no idea what is causing it and it seems rather rare occurance, I was online for 3 hours and was just fine... was more frequent on QA at one point.

If you can get us close to a step by step repro case for us to look into further.

I got same problem after this patch ..initially i thought it was because i was playing in window mode game freeze every 5 minutes or so , fighting some mobs.... usually game froze right when i was trying to pan the camera around with my mouse , like its trying too hard to load something but theres a conflict... i switched to full screen went on wetlands swamp after 10 mins of fighting i figured lets try again so i start panning camera around with my mouse while moving .. and game froze again had to force program to close as it wasnt responding to anything anymore . Few sec after freeze i notice a quick monitor refresh rate. Didnt had this problem before the patch . Hope this helps you identify the issue .

Humor me. This may be tied to a known issue with DX11. Please follow these steps and let me know if the issue is resolved:

    1. Locate the game executable in your client directory (By default C:\Program Files (x86)\Portalarium\Shroud of the Avatar(DEV))
    2. Right click and select to make a Shortcut
    3. Right click on the Shortcut that was generated and access Properties
    4. At the end of the field for Target, add the following code: "-force-d3d9" (If done correctly, should look like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Portalarium\Shroud of the Avatar(DEV)\Shroud of the Avatar.exe" -force-d3d9")
    5. Run the game with the shortcut.

The above workaround will force the client to run on DX9, which should fix this issue if it's related to the DX11 bug.

Pretty sure only devs have "(DEV)" in the folder name.

I had screen freeze only once today, so I will try to see if I can reproduce it. If I do, I will try the dx9 thing to see if it helps.

Well now you're being sassy. The directory structure would more or less be the same.

This fix does not appear to work when using the Steam client

This definetly fixed the issue for me , no more freeze windowed or fullscreen ... also game seems to run much smoother in R36 then in R35 . Thank you.

This made a HUGE difference for me, R36 was unplayable until I found this thread.
