11/18/16: UPDATE: This is AFTER the patch in which you lowered it:

11/17/16: I can not use this spell anymore because the yellow is so heavy I can't see anything on my screen. This has got to be some kind of a prank! I mean: WHERE THE HELL IS THE FUN WHEN YOU MAKE IT SO YOU CAN"T PLAY!!!!

I don't think I have ever been so pissed off about changes to a game as I am with this release!

I now have a spell that I GM'd cause I thought it was cool and now can't use it at all cause I can't do anything when it is cast. You make it so that it is a combat only spell, which I am fine with, but then you make it so you cant see anything in combat! WTF are you thinking!

I wonder why this change didn't make it into the release notes? Perhaps because it would have gone something like this:

Elysian Illumination: Changed how hard we are going to block your screen with yellow rain so that you can't play the game.

I posted about this before this last release, I guess they decided that it would be fun to make the spell graphic even worse! I can not imagine what this would do to a full group as far as lag goes. The spell in just about unbearable to use now. Very painful to say the least. It actually hurts my eyes and then there is the whole side effect of blocking your vision in the game. This has to be a joke, has to be!

When this was introduced last patch a couple of folks I grouped with used it and made it very hard to see through i.e soothing rain but ten times as painful on the eyes. So much so we 'banned' them from using it in group, if it's got worse then maybe I'll stay solo hunting until tweaked :(

Yea it's pretty bad on my screen as well. Really no reason for it to be this overpowering, though if you could do this to people in PvP I bet that would annoy them to all heck

It gets my vote as worst visual effect of any game I can remember playing in 30 years.

It obscures targets and landscape visuals, persists in your face after a kill, and moves with running.

It is enough of an impediment it makes me want to stop playing or rebuild a character. I really hope this is fixed fast.

Well, imho the spell is not that effective to be really worth casting:) Maybe only in huge party as very small heatlh buff, but it usually breaks the game with larger party still.

Maybe the developers didn't know that the spell does that?

Would be a good Noxious Cloud effect!

But currently more like Obnoxious Cloud

It is only obnoxious if you are exclusive and assuming that one person is speaking to draw attention to themselves as if this discussion were only for insiders. if that is the case then those who assume they are insiders are the noxious cloud.

D&D reference + playing around with the word to describe what people/parties are feeling about the spell effect's visuals

Yes and my pictures are taken AFTER that intensity reduction patch as per your quote.

This is still an issue and I haven't been able to use this spell since. I will return to the bug report to say that it is still unresolved.

Agree. Still annoying to use. Transparency has to be increased or intensity toned down a lot.
