Sota has less than 20 votes? This isnt a huge website but seems like the top 2 are Star Citizen and Chronicles of Elyria. COE im not sure counts looks awesome but not even an alpha version out yet. Whats promised and delivered will be seen.

    You can vote daily too!

Could just be people don't frequent to that websites as well. I don't really know about its existence until you mention here (or maybe I just forget about it).

Consider Star Citizen is the top and only have 94 votes. The site doesn't really have much going on. It's most likely the case where someone post a link on the game forum of their favorite and says, "hey guys please vote for our game."

SC has hundreds of thousands of active players testing their game - enormous reddit communities - enormous troll communities - in a strictly per capita sense of things, SotA being on the board is pretty awesome

I wont vote for any and stick with my stand that this concept of crowd funded games is a failure.

I'm sure the site owner is making some cash from ads by just setting the poll up. Now they just need more people to fall for the click bait :p.

What I found interesting, looking at all the games in the various categories, whenever I found something where I was like, 'wow, that looks unique and interesting' it had like 9 votes. When I saw stuff where I was like, 'yeah, that's the tired old thing I know exactly what it's about' it had like 2,000+ votes.

If you look at the current MMO list, ESO has 2000+, Eve online has around 1.5k. WoW has only under 500 despite having way much more subscribed players.

Destiny only has 27 votes. Does it mean they are having promise and delivery problem as well? They're not even crowdfunded. They're available in multiple systems with more than 100 players playing the game.

If anything the site voting legitimacy is crap and merely use for fanboys to flex their favorite games while the site owner is milking $$$ from advertisement.

33 votes for SOTA now. Crowfall has 57.

The Star Citizen count isn't very impressive considering it's supposed to have many times more backers than SOTA and Crowfall combined.

Darkmoon, I am sure you are aware that I am actually supporting your fight for a good SP game.
But you turned bitter. Do you have to post this bitterness really in every topic that remotely touches the game as a whole?

That Sota thumbnail seems a little default looking doesn't it? Why not show off those sexy in game visuals.

Chronicles of Elyria has two strikes against it: your character ages and dies (no thanks) and it's Windows only. Not having a Linux client is an automatic fail to me.

I agree. I had to block him because I was getting so tired of reading the same old whine. I hate blocking folks, especially the passionate ones, but it just got to be too much.

    Cheers,

I still have to smile if i see statements like that ^^ Linux....
About the charakter ageing we could discuss without end. It's a nice spin but...i don't know, really.
Would depend on how they go from there but i am far too lazy to read it up ^^

What COE needs is for a secondary character who you can train to be your successor once you get old. Just like here , same last name & alignment and maybe some handed down family skills.
