I am a little sad for Project Gorgon. It is being developed by a development team of 2 and is really great so far. It has so many features I would love to have seen here but who knows what we will ultimately get *crosses fingers for more*. Don't forget to check it out while you can because eventually it will not be free to play but a subscription. I did and I played it for ideas, I love the skill discovery system in this game and the surprising finds. I love that you look down and you find an apple or something else that you need and you do need a lot from the zillions of tasks and work orders you are able to get, even tho simplified it works. Finding things are great surprises. All in all I am a Sota Fan and I will always be.

True. SOTA is amazing, but a comparison to SC. Its recognized as a crowd funded Triple A game.

And the best part is since people seem to be gaming the vote, if SoTA wins they will pat themselves on the back as if it is a real accomplishment.

You mean real parties? Or Shroud of the Avatar Royal Warrant dance parties?

Thanks everyone for showing your support to the project! Daily voting ends in just a few days!

I think you can vote once or twice a day; it's not cheating if they allow it. I think this voting system is fine, in that it doesn't just gauge number of fans, but the dedication of the player base. You can bet the other games have people voting multiple times, so we should too.

(Don't advocate clearing cookies or anything, that IS cheating in my book...but I vote at least once a day...)

    Dont get me wrong.
    SoTa was enjoyable once.
But the words " Best " and " Shroud of the Avatar " do not mix well.

Companies hire click monkeys for that very thing.
Do not believe any poll on the internet, plenty of developer companies have been busted up clicking their own game reviews.

MLB once hired click monkeys to skew a "Face of the MLB" vote on twitter away from someone they didn't want to have that title. Someone who wasn't a top performer and couldn't be easily marketed (or so they thought) to the entire country.

I remember that games review site that were doing fake reviews for games because the companies paid them.
But the players knew..... really was just so stupid.
Everyone else says the game sucks but there review has it as 4.5/5 = um somethings not right here folks......

Well, tell me how the result can be fair or how the process can be exact, when you can vote twice a day? This is far from being a voting system.
I mean, come on, we both know that every voting system allow you to vote once, not twice a day..

It's more like a contest, you will vote the most in a short matter of time. And I call it BS.

    Plus, who give a sh$$ about mmogames.com ?

It's free advertising. Even if it reaches a few hundred people over the few days where people care about this stuff, it raises the chance that the name SotA means something to a potential customer. When you (supposedly) aren't paying for any advertising, this is how you keep things simmering.
