It's a bug, I sure hope it means you left focus ALONE. As a pure archer, I drain all my focus just killing 2 bears, and I am adventure lvl 78.... Focus does mot need to be nerfed.... But the potions sure need to do more because they suck as is, is a total waste to craft for they recover very little. And I hope if there are new focus or healing potions, that they will be Craftable and if they are drops, then I hope they drop off of every type of mobs..... Like obsidian bears, etc ....

We did not intend to change anything about focus regen rates

After digging more into this today I misspoke a bit, or at least oversimplified by stating this was a bug.

Players have been enjoying out of combat focus regeneration rates for quite a few releases now. We fixed the bug that was causing that which is what you all were experiencing in QA. We realize however that this is way too big a delta in regen rates so we are dialing this back to only being a 33% delta.

Apologies again for misstating this earlier.

    Important things to note:

    1. Current QA build is NOT target focus regen rate. It will be MUCH faster tomorrow. Nearly 70% faster.
    2. Food buffs will now start counting DURING combat (but probably not in time for tomorrow's patch).

Oh thank you thank you for the food to be good in combat too. Now you eat and you are better for it not just here and there which was flimsy to me, so yay ;)

Can you please make it so that if we get hit and put into combat mode then we would also draw the equipped weapon? This would go a long way toward making the focus regeneration nerf easier to swallow.

Original focus reduction was almost 100% slower than out of combat (i.e. almost zero)
Tomorrow it will be only 33% slower making it 66% faster than what is currently on QA.

Form this is sounds like the fix that was causing a 100% reduction was too much. But I get a hint that it was too much at one time. Does this mean the target long term is still the current R38 (100%) rates with lower change drops until we get there or has the long term target changed?

its probably really petty but the wait to get out of combat mode (sheathing weapons) annoys me to no end even if its only a few seconds.

even if this is the case it really wont be a problem as long as consumables are kept in balance.

ideally the consumables would be introduced abit before the regen drops so they are available to players to help make the transition smoother.

right now its going to be a race to loot the new potion recipies and horrible overcharge for them in either gold or $$ depending are where they are located and their drop rate.

i cant believe that many would be happy to see the highest adv lvl 120 players being the ones selling these on the marketplace...

I'm watching for feedback on why this is fun?

Well timed focus replenishment is just crucial. It's one of the top things that makes or breaks a game for me because it affects how I use my limited time. Does the game require me to stand around waiting for regen or to find rare components to allow that, or does the game allow me to adventure when I want. That affects my play decisions.

I appreciate the interest in making food meaningful and useful for stat regen. That is cool.

On the other hand, too much forced down time isn't fun if it takes too much work to defeat. If good food is required to play, let's ensure that it is bountifully available. If we need to constantly find rare GM'd food just to compete, that's a fail in my book. I'm hoping for a game other than 'Feast of the Avatar'. If base focus regen is minimal, finding reasonable food (in the field) for success should not take much time at all.

I think it is AWSOME that they figured out they screwed up and gave players to much (too easy) (((ITYS ))) and when they try and make it the way it was supposed to be (a game you have to play and be smart in) player all go nutz.

I T Y S start out slow it is easier to give more later on than take away.
